Great tips Tim. Picking the correct feather for the task is something I’m a bit unsure of and this helps a lot. Most tyers talk you through the fly’s construction but not much is usually said about picking the right material. Thank you for another one dude.

Tim, where did you get those "map of the globe" skins that have all the parts connected? What are the feathers out to the sides of the lower cape that look like wings? Thanks, always the best info!

Using every part of the chicken, after the slaughter is a plus. Quick question if you don't mind, how long can you keep treated Hackle feathers, or the full skin in storage, or do you need to treat it further for long term usage?? Thank-you.

I have quite a few Metz necks that are easily 30+ years old. Just keep an eye out for bugs. Oh and great for the time but no comparison to what's available today.
