Hi Ruby, PH or Ph is a scale from 0 to 14 that measures how acidic or alkaline a solution is. Battery acid is 0 Stomach acid is 1 Black coffee is 5 Milk is 6 7 is neutral. Pure water is a 7 on the scale. The closer to 7/neutral the better something is on your skin. Sea water is an 8 Sodium bicarbonate (Baking soda) is a 9. Soapy water is a 12 Sodium hydroxide (Drain cleaner aka lye) is a 14.
