This hash board started behaving sporadically after it was in service for several days. When I went to pull it out for repair, I was shocked to find the middle section of the upgraded heat sink had completely detached itself from the board. All 8 nuts had broken free. In this segment I cover a new technique that insures the mounting nuts remain attached to the hashboard.

just bought my second s17 pro , payed about 150 euro (160 dollar) with one hashboard not hashing ....... well see i now have the stuff needed to repair hashboards and the price of the whole thing still is cheaper than a replacement hashboard they wouldnt make any money with them at this moment if it wasnt for the fact that im not paying a lot for the power needed to run them planning on running them at the low power setting increasing the amoutnt of bitcoin per watt , the two running should come near the hashrate and power consumption of a s19 for a fraction of the purchase cost now i just hope i can get both of them working like they should

Would you advise an Ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning the boards?

Not really, unless you are planning to do some large scale work. I have a cheap ultrasonic cleaner that I seldom use anymore. It takes too long to heat up and it doesn't do the greatest job. Instead I use a glass 11x13 casserole dish with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. You can filter it several times and keep reusing it. Coupled with a toothbrush it gets my boards nice and clean.

@@silverdesert2970 I was in the same boat last year. Thanks to wonderful people in the discord groups and YT community I learned fast and decided to share what I learned. Wish I had started the videos sooner. Especially when I burned up my first hash board.

What microscope are you using?

It's an Amscope SM745TP-B Head, Mokoose 1/1.8 4K USB camera, Amscope FMA050 reduction lens, and a 0.7x Barlow lens. I'm not happy with the articulating stand because of the shake. It isn't noticeable when looking through the eye pieces but it is on camera. There are plenty of similar options out there for less. Just make sure you get the simul-focus feature if you plan to use both the camera port as well as the eye pieces.
