I am a retired nurse anesthetist and learned throughout my career that the worst pain came from childbirth and kidney stones. If she can't pass it, there is lithotripsy that can bust up that stone under anesthesia. It is an amazing procedure! Anyhow prayers for you both for her recovery!

My friends dad a a large kidney stone and put a stint in and was going to remove the stone at a later date. I told my friend to tell her dad to drink lemon water and he did for two weeks and he passed it. That’s a testimony to the Lord and his wisdom. Now he don’t need surgery. PTL

I’m so glad that I saw this! This is TRUE ! I glass of warm water. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 a Fresh Lemon into the glass of warm water. Add a Natural Sweetener to taste. I found I like liquid Truvia. In addition to helping your body do its thing, it helps to reduce your toxins. I had Stage 2 Chronic Kidney Disease. Now I don’t . Could it come back? Yes. You have to eliminate in your life whatever is causing the condition. Also, I found that eating lots of green leafy vegetables helps. You can make or buy green smoothies. The closer to nature the better. No sugar. No preservatives. This also brought down my A1C. So, give it a try and see if it helps you too!

My husband has chronic kidney stones, and 2 of our kids have them. A 8oz glass of real orange juice everyday and always adding a squeeze of lemon to their water has made them with barely noticeable. Makes the stones smooth and easier to pass. Add all the citrus Ms. Lori. Healing Prayers friend.

I thought I had kidney stones. Excruciating pain for 5 days then suddenly shingles popped out and the pain I thought was kidney stones suddenly went away. The shingles pain was bad but not as bad as the pre-cursor pain. Doc said it was quite common to have that happen.

My uncle got out of his car and crawled on his hands and knees on Market Street in San Francisco. Diagnosed with kidney stones and they sent him home. He eventually got relief, sitting in front of his open door on the oven, it passed. It can be the size of a grain of sand and can cause excruciating pain. Take the time to rest and heal. I had a huge kidney stone when I was on a 2 week vacation. I ended up with a lithotripsy. But I had to wait 3 months. I don't remember what they prescribed me in GA, but it made me sleep and I felt no pain until it wore off. They said it was illegal in NYS. Please give Miss Lori a gentle hug for me. I have passed kidney stones. I've had a baby. I'd rather give birth to an elephant than pass a kidney stone! It's the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. The doctor told me to add freshly squeezed lemon juice to a bottle of water everyday for the rest of my life, and I won't ever get another kidney stone. So, that's what I do. So far so good. I passed the stone back in 2006 and have had no problems with them since. Thank the Lord! If memory serves me, there are different reasons why a person developes stones. For now, we'll all keep prayers going up for Mrs. Lori and trust the Lord for His help. Thanks for the update, Mr. Brown. God bless y'all.

But my daughter who suffers from kidney stones ( I'm pretty sure caused from taking so much bactrim as a baby to prevent kidney infections [born with 1/2 functioning kidney,long story but God did give her a whole kidney on the side that didn't have one] ) anyway her nephrologist told her to drink lemon water.

I understand how hard sickness can be my son is in stage 5 kidney failure and has been dialysis treatments for almost 5 years but just got on the transplant list. Absolutely Mr Brown.!The OR Nurse is right on. , Take her to a big city hospital right away. There is NO reason she should have to suffer for 5 days in that kind. pain. I am a RN Certifiedd in Medical and Surgical Nursing with 40 ys experience. The local hospital ER DR should have called in a Kidney specialist, a Urologist , and requested a surgical consultation. 3 centimeters is a Big Stone, 3 centimeters is one and 1/4 inch long, or wide and no way can it fit though the ureter , the tube than carries the urine from the kidney to the bladder. then it would still have to be passed out of the bladder which opeining is not that large and would be extremely painful . Maybe they said it was 3 millimeters instead? A big city Medical Center can do a procedure to break the stone up under sound waves or do a procedure to remove it. both under anesthesia, of course. . it would be a great mercy to itake her where she can get help. if the stone is only 3 millimeters, it ihas been 5 days and it has not passed. Enough is enough. Call the local ER and tell the Dr where you are taking her and why and ask them to call ahead and tell them about Miss Lori’s kidney stone and to let them know you are coming. Miss Lori is so very brave and strong, but she needs relief . The stent was a good idea because it could keep the urine tube open and prevent possible blockage of the urine . In any case she needs to have a medical attention. Eveybody, keep on praying for her.

I had my first kidney stone 42 years ago when I was 7 months pregnant. It was over 8 mm and put me in early labor. They had to go up my urethra to retrieve it and put me on a med to keep me from going into labor and delivering prematurely. I have had them almost every other year since then. I am now on Potassium citrate to help prevent them from forming. My last one was over 11mm. I know her pain and will keep her in my prayers. My stones are calcium oxalate and can't have dark green leafy veggies or any kind of berries. Lemon juice in water is supposed to help. The meds to help open up the ureter is called Flomax and it might make it easier for her to pass. God bless.

Try drinking solely Distilled water. Seriously. My Dad has those and as soon as Mom and Dad bought a machine (waterwise is the best!) And stopped with sink, he never had them again for the rest of his life. That is all we drink. I am serious. You should do it.

Mine weren’t caused by food with oxalates. I tried the lemon juice, didn’t work, the causes can be different for different people.

Miss Lori once prayed for me. The least I can do is pray for HER. This stone WILL pass. My son had one once. He called us from the ER. When we got there, this big tough son of ours had tears streaming down his face. The pain is pretty nasty, but with a lot of water, it passes. Sending you both love in Christ Jesus!

Whats important is that she gets better...... Google a 3 millimeter kidney stone....its like a grain of sand..... God bless her. I am a retired nurse who helped kidney stone patients.....a 3mm would take down a 6'6" 300lb sized linebacker... Its no joke with pain.

My dad spent 4 days in the hospital with kidney stones and came home and still was in pain. So I came over with a two liter bottle of Mountain Dew and had him drink as much as he could as fast as he could and within two hours he was completely out of pain! I was given this remedy by my cousin who went to a small town hospital and that's how they helped her, and it has worked for myself everytime and a keep MD in the back of the cupboard just in case. The acid in the dew breaks the stones up and the caffeine helps push and flush it through. So dairy is the evil villian, and sometimes fried food is what I have learned is if you have dairy you have to remember to drink your water and flush, flush, flush. and if you are against the dew you can use lemon in your water for the acid even as preventive. I know it seems crazy but when you are in pain you are willing to try anything. I pray for Mrs Lori's relief, hang in there we love you all, Angel from Northern California California 💞

Thats mountain dew "cure" is bullsh_t, you sure have never had a stone or even seen a urologist. The worse time I had with my stones, multiple hospital stays, they had to go up and get the last one. Morphine is a great drug when you hurt that bad. Prayers for Miss Lori for our Lords touch and rapid healing and pain relief.

I was told by a Dr that mountain dew can cause kidney stones. Apple cider vinagar helped my gall bladder pain.
