i might be misremembering, but i think the scuff, desync lag, and ammo/gun scuff was more tolerable or rare in 3.0. i don't remember 3.0 crashing as much as 4.0 either. i still remember xqc saying 4.0 won't have to deal with desync issues coz it's 'server-side' (whatever that means) now? seems like either they reverted it back to how it was, or server simply can't handle the traffic. whatever they did, seems like it's slowly getting worse for the players.

I def know what you’re saying but I think it’s more about positioning and overall game knowledge than it is about pure aim/mechanics. The gunplay is scuffed as fuck but if you consistently put yourself in superior positions you’re gonna win your fights more than you lose.
