【hades手书】 young and beautiful（patrochilles）（Achilles/Patroclus）

This time is really not lazy to engage in the stream of consciousness, I am a real talk about the two of them, the young things refer to some of my favorite homo sapiens works
I did my best to get around the small bugs in the plot of hades itself, which should not affect the perception
Still in my habit, drawing some interesting small details to suggest the time, but I do not know whether it will be noticed
As well, no one can refuse Achilles crying ！！！！！！
If someone is pulled into the apa pit by me I still recommend watching the Iliad first, the original yyds

Quick note, if you pay attention of 2:33 you'll notice that Achiles heel actually has a red mark on the back of it as he walks over the water, and paired with the arrow in the previous frame (which in mythology killed Achilles after Paris shot him with it) shows us Achiles death, which is an incredibly small yet noticeable and amazing detail

Thank goodness you used Hades game portrayals of Patroclus. I can't imagine him as lean or whatever Miller pictured him to be. I've read the Illiad and though I liked TSOA, she downplayed Patroclus

Well the book was through Patroclus' eyes, and he definitely viewed himself less than what he was. I mean he said he had no skill in fighting but killed the second best fighter of troy. So I believe she was just painting him how he saw himself in her version.

I love TSOA but you're telling me that the Bravest and Best of the myrmidons saw himself as not good at fighting, that it was Achilles gift, that he never grew out of his insecurities? It bothered me. He was a snarky little shit in the Illiad, well loved too, respected, even had a character arc in my opinion. Hades game Patroclus embodies The Illiad Patroclus just right. His body type certainly fits right of that of a Greek warrior, his reasons and indifference. Like he doesn't want to go to war but kept fighting, supporting Achilles in and out of the field and definitely unafraid of calling Achilles shit. Miller's interpretation of Patroclus was new but I don't hate it since it fits the story she's telling.

@@cantbetamed2210 I definitely see what you are saying, but I believe it brings him down to a human level that we can understand more. Every single person knows at least a little what self doubt feels like, so it makes him more relatable and feel more like a person than a great warrior. And to be fair pat only had training for fighting up until he started going to achilles' lessons(my rough estimate is about 10-13 years old idk), and even with Chiron they never trained fighting. So it wasn't unreasonable to think he wasn't a great fighter seeing as he had little training. Overall I think she did a great job of representing pat how he might see himself compared to how others view him.

@@mokiO_O I know Miller wrote Patroclus as what fits in her story I respect that. I just love Hades Game interpretation better as it is closest to what I picture him to be in the Illiad. I think it's natural for Pat to be insecure at the first years of his banishment but I supposed I expected him to overcome it when they began training together even with Chiron. The 'fighting is Achilles gift' line just didn't sit right with me and I'm somewhat annoyed that most people remember him as only Achilles' lover despite his own achievements. When I Recommend TSOA to my bookfriends, the conclusion is mostly only 'that'. Patroclus was very well loved, respected not just for his fighting skills but for his gentleness, loyalty and morality. (He was a snarky little shit too) Hades game Patroclus embodied those qualities and it is a superior interpretation of Patroclus in my opinion. But that's just me.
