I like to open the bonnet (or hood in the US) on cars I've checked makes it easy to see at a distance whether you have looted them or not. Great series as always, thanks!

That is one of the FEW things I use the spray paint for, marking on the map what fishing huts I've checked. My memory isn't what it used to be. Saves a lot of 'Dancing with Wolves.' Nice Two Step at the end there BTW.

Oatmeal is best freshly cooked, cause once it cools it becomes a solid rubbery mass.

Re: play styles getting more conservative as the in-game world grows larger (18:30): for me, it depends on how long I expect a run to go. I've done several short-term runs recently to sample the new content and do the Tales, burning through resources freely as those runs have a set end point. A 'forever run' requires more planning and self-denial. When I call Achievement Astrid out of retirement and have her chase that 1,000 days achievement, I will be sweating every match and whetstone.

Decisions....like how much food, water, sticks and ammo do I need to get to the Far Territory from Mystery Lake without having to stop and hunt and cook, without being too overburdened to move well. I love it. And random thought, wouldn't it great if we could use the antlers off the buck deer for crafting? Improvised knife handle for instance.

Everything is changing. I have noticed The Trader is asking for certain items that I do not want to give up. For a long time my only quest was to go to The Summit. Now I go all over because I need the technical backpack, find bunkers, look for caches during the Aurora etc, etc. I bought the game right after Forlorn Muskeg debuted, since then Great Bear Island has doubled. I never made The Quonset and Misanthrope's main bases but The Trader (maybe not forces me) but suggests I spend more time here if I want to deal with him.
