Been loving this series Hadrian, been watching since the channel became active again, and have finally picked up the game myself! One question, would you recommend I play the story mode? Or just jump into the survival mode content I’m dying to try (things like fishing, finding bedrolls in a timely manner, etc.). Ya know, stuff I haven’t seen by watching the channel 😘😘😘

Im not sure why, but having an outro in the abandoned bunker makes me feel at home haha i feel like many episodes have started and finished in this location over the years and its always such a stunning shot with that dim light highlights the rungs of the ladder and a few stray snowflakes glinting in the light. Super stoked for AAO Season 8 btw, off to a wicked start!

I like to open the bonnet (or hood in the US) on cars I've checked makes it easy to see at a distance whether you have looted them or not. Great series as always, thanks!

Re: play styles getting more conservative as the in-game world grows larger (18:30): for me, it depends on how long I expect a run to go. I've done several short-term runs recently to sample the new content and do the Tales, burning through resources freely as those runs have a set end point. A 'forever run' requires more planning and self-denial. When I call Achievement Astrid out of retirement and have her chase that 1,000 days achievement, I will be sweating every match and whetstone.

The fact that the wolf paths straight past the entrance (and thus, exit) to the basement seems ROOD.

Decisions....like how much food, water, sticks and ammo do I need to get to the Far Territory from Mystery Lake without having to stop and hunt and cook, without being too overburdened to move well. I love it. And random thought, wouldn't it great if we could use the antlers off the buck deer for crafting? Improvised knife handle for instance.

That is one of the FEW things I use the spray paint for, marking on the map what fishing huts I've checked. My memory isn't what it used to be. Saves a lot of 'Dancing with Wolves.' Nice Two Step at the end there BTW.
