10:44 its really funny that you mention that because whenever i first started playing The Long Dark i used to do that unironically like only staying in mystery lake but have since expanded outwards since then

I mean honestly its probably worth it to recomplete signal void at the bare minimum. Getting the tracker alone will unlock those caches across the island. The bunkers are nice as well. Beyond the first tale I'm not sure what the point would be. The rewards are fine I suppose but nothing beats technical backpack + moose satchel.

Now my last save (On the Xbox) I might've only been in Mystery Lake and intentionally picked starting in mystery lake, But on my current save (Now on PC) I intentionally picked random and enjoyed the terror of starting in middle of nowhere Timberwolf Mountain.(only passed though ML for le camera so far too). Glad to make Mr. Rafael happy, even at the potential death of my first pc run XD. I've also gotten a ton of film so far, find it everywhere, i have so much sepia film.

The changes to the audio seem to have improved the balance between game audio and your voice a lot. I reckon some of my issues that led to my feeling your voice was too loud compared to game audio come from my earbuds, which are excessively heavy on the bass - I suspect the dynamic range of your recorded voice is wider than the game audio, and so my earbuds boosted the lower registers such that the balance was spoiled for me. But whatever it is you have changed it seems to sound better - game audio seems crisper to me too, so worth a delayed episode in my mind

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback. I'm always so nervous to tweak my balance, but I went back to basics on some stuff on the day before Christmas, and it made me realize that the EQ settings on my USB interface weren't as good as they could be. I'm still tweaking it a bit, but this is really helpful.
