Did'nt know Arnel Pineda too until i saw the comments here,i checked it on KZbin, and he's been chosen to replace the lead singer of the American Band The Journey,which is the original singer of the Faithfully.Well good for him!!!

I was watching Arnel's first concert with Journey in Chile and suddenly remember Hady's rendition. If you wanna see Arnel singing with the band who originally recorded this song, type: Journey - Faithfully live in Viña 2008 on the search field. I hope Hady and other Asian singers can also penetrate the international scene. We're not less talented than our western counterpart. It's our time to shine! World domination!!! Arnel was relatively unknown even in the Philippines until just recently (and he's been singing for 25 years, can you believe that?) Anyway, just type Arnel Pineda in the search field and you'll know the story. You Pinoys should STOP comparing Hady to Arnel Pineda because that's totally unfair! This is his time to shine. In my book, he gave justice to the song. If we want America to treat Arnel fairly, we should do the same with other artists.

Havid's words were wrongly understood. He wrote "...Hady pales..." which meant Hady was way weaker. The phrase "whose rendition is...better" referred to the closest noun which was Arnel. In short, according to havid, Arnel's rendition was much better than Hady's.

I am not a dude, first of all. He is already 27? He looks younger than his age. I guess, we Asians age better than our western counterparts. Arnel is already 40 and the Americans thought he's in his 20s. Anyway, Hady reminds me of a Filipino actor Jericho Rosales.

I like his voice BUT its too happy-campy-pop-ish for THIS song. Faithfully is a ROCK song... it needs edge and high vocal range. Steve Perry has the vocal range as well as Arnel Pineda. Arnel also gives it that deep edge when he sings.

He sang it at a pitch lower than the original. Obviously, he cant reach those high notes. He struggled. He's a lowly amateur compared to this Filipino who is now the lead vocals of Journey. But in fairness, for a country not really known for talents, he is good enough for a local singing contest.

Whats soo bad about Arnel Pineda? He's Pinoy pride and you got to give him credit for his awesome voice man. I mean Hadi might be good but he definitely cant have the same husky rock voice like Arnel Pineda. And Hadi definitely can't pull off the super high notes that Arnel can.
