My favorite Merciful End build I've had was Gilgamesh with +3 dashes from Hermes. Since you can just hold the dash button on Gilgamesh, holding attack and dash at the same time makes you dash-strike repeatedly while being basically immune thanks to Athena dash. Probably my easiest run

I agree, I had one where I just got all the boons in Tartarus, and Charon fight popped in Aspho, I just smashed dash+attack and he went down in like 10 seconds lmao. One of the funniest runs I've had, very close to the super soaker lucifer.

Excited to see non-Fists Merciful End. I know how strong it is on Fists, but im excited to see it elsewhere too. I know it gets used a LOT in Fresh File because you always get Athena first and you can't see Zeus at all in the 1st run, so Ares shows up more often (or something like that) so I kinda would like to see if it's good on other weapons too, but still, this should be exciting :)

@@justarandomdood it's about proccing the doom, so you need to dash between the strikes, flurry slash doesn't really do much for it

Also yes, ME is strong on other weapons including sword (although especially nemesis has been using more splash dash starts) as well as zeus shield as special+attack can make lots of doom procs happen

I wouldn't really make use of Flurry Slash, the goal is to continuously dash-strike through enemies to apply and trigger the Doom in one swoop. Flurry Slash also has a downside for this particular goal in that it messes with dash-striking and makes it slightly harder to do for reasons I don't fully understand.

If you can just give yourself free boons with the codex mod, could you do a run where you just start off with a bunch of duo boons and try to work your way backwards to activate them?

best time i have had on hades was 8:30 with merciful end (heat 15) . for fun , the other two gods I try to get in my merciful end runs are usually artemis (pp+hm) and dio (call+duos) . But those are not speed runs , just like chasing those builds.

ME is broken but it also sucks for speed running haha. Just brutal resets, running unmodded ME is basically just wasting 20 minutes resetting until you get a chance at a run. Ananke recently had a sick Demeter WR unmodded though, definitely has a high ceiling

Pause buffering shouldnt be a thing, but pausing should stop the timer anyways just because pausing is important. Sometimes you have to go do something, someone needs you for something, you want to get a drink, etc. Its the same reason games like dark souls (while in single player at least) should let you pause, too. Pausing is a quality of life thing. Meanwhile, pause buffering is just people abusing that quality of life feature for a fraction of a second of better performance.

My favorite merciful end build was Athena special and ares attack on Zeus aspect, just throw the shield and beat the enemies into it lol. If you can get the hammer where the attack hits twice with no knock back it makes it even better

Flurry jab merciful end with zag spear is a personal love🫶. Going to try Zeus shield merciful end honestly, there’s potential there.

It doesn't really matter cause neither of them effect the damage output/build much. That being said, Proud bearing is actually the choice there because you do benefit from more calls

Not using PStatus so the extra Status doesn't help and backstabs won't really do anything for us since we're mostly dealing Doom damage.

It's funny because the main reason I usually take riposte is to enable the legendary (literally the only way to do so). Idk if protecc really helps that much in most cases but I like having it anyway. Maybe he just took it because he wanted to have as many chances as possible to piss off chat by refusing orange lmao

Damage over defense. Athena’s legendary gives you protection from damage, which Haelian doesn’t actually need since he hardly gets hit to begin with. The god gauge boon otoh allows him to deal more damage
