One thing I've noticed about the clone attack on Hecate, is that with my directional sound headphones, the sound of her voicelines always seems to come from the direction of the real one, although it may just be coincidence.

Armor scrapping hammers seem obscenely strong in this game with how they scale with the enemy's max armor. Makes minibosses obscenely easy.

I got the hammer for the special that makes it +50 power. And I got Demeter freeze on it, and it got me all the way to the bottom floor boss on my first try. Felt like the best way to play it.

So far, I’ve gravitated to the sister blades. It feels closest to the faster paced strike and run gameplay of the first game. Throw on a heroic Aphro attack and it made Chronos look like a chump.

I know people hate the Soster Blades Special but I got my best run with Poseidon Special + all the Specials in a line, just a high pressure water jet with AoE

There are some boons that just have misleading descriptions, like what we see here with Double Up~ Another boon that's misunderstood cause of that is Hestia's Sprint "Soot Sprint" -- it says that while you sprint. most projectiles are destroyed. The word "most" can be confused with a "majority chance" to be destroyed, BUT this is not the case~ What "most" regards to is the "type" of projectile-- this means any projectiles that has a "reasonable size and is shaped like a ball or bullet" are destroyed. I learned this with the first mini boss in Erebus that fires darts at you that you run around the enemy in a circle to dodge while a vine chases you-- all of the bullets were destroyed with Soot Sprint and the boss gets Scorched of its entire armor and HP. Projectiles that are shaped like a "wave" or "lobbed in the air" or "seems too large a size" or "crawls on the ground" cannot be destroyed.

The only (purple) balls that Zag could smack come from witch type mobs-- reasonably enough there aren't any witch type mobs as per theme cause Mel is one. There are witches as adds in boss 1, but their balls look far different and look like they can't be smacked-- and sure enough, they can't (I tried). With that, there are no shots that can't be smacked. The only way to overcome is with Hestia's Sprint, iFrame dodge, or just general field awareness. I'd like to say Athena's boons but they aren't present yet in Early access. On a technical note: Unless this is just an early access thing, I think the devs wanted to up the difficulty on how we as players would tackle projectiles flying at us.

I've learned that its actually helpful to have directional audio in the game specifically for the Hecate fight. When she triple divides if she says a voiceline the audio points to the right one!

i got to the infernal beast on my third run, and died almost instantly. It was my first time seeing Eris too, she was at the beginning of the second zone. tbh I thought it was going up by 25% every every lmao. It's not as bad as I thought. I was running with Poseidon special with the staff, got the hammer that gave it extra missiles, and then i got the second hammer that made me shoot faster and they got longer range and became homing. It was such a good build, I'm surprised I got so far. I beat the sirens first try. I survived with 3 hp. It was so fun, such a good fight. I absolutely LOVE the first 2 areas. There is so much detail in the scenery, and the coloring is absolutely beautiful. I really like how the third area is a big open space. It's a nice change of pace that gives you a lot of room for ranged builds to really shine. I do think it is kinda bare though, in comparison to the first 2 biomes. The infernal beast seems like it should be a one time boss. But I doubt he'll ~stay~ a good boy. I'm guessing he is the final boss for early access. I haven't beaten him yet, though I haven't played since that third run either. Kinda taking it slow, I got a lot of games on my plate right now. I should be playing my sorc in PD2 right now. lol.

Got past Infernal Best a few minutes ago for the first time and even made it all the way up to Chronos. He's a tough nut, I got him down to 1/3hp but wasn't able to beat him despite having 2 revives. My first Infernal Beast experience was similar to the one in the video, Eris debuff leads to soooo much damage taken making it insanely difficult. Couldn't beat the beast until after Eris stopped showing up.

I did better against Cerberus than the siren :/. If I had Aphrodite close dmg I might have been able to do it first try, as I was doing a backstab build. Got it to about half way, but had no death defiance as I lost it against the siren. I felt like I wasn't getting backstab dmg when I should have during that fight.

from what little i played and tested spirit bubbles are the only thing i found that gave me energy back while in the hold cast with the staffs there may still be more tho a lot of the over time effects didnt help it tho

I hope the boon illustration/icon is still in progress, right now they feel so dull and generic. One of the things I love about Hades is the illustration of each boon, they have so much personality and style (color scheme) for each god.

My first night with the flames I got the hammer for an extra orb on the Omega special an epic Apollo special and Poseidon's magick orb boon and I just spammed the Omega special and it got me to the bottom boss for the first time
