I actually prefer when you don't use high fear for these runs. The time pressure tends to limit your choices, and if you take the vow of forsaking you sometimes lock yourself out of cool build paths.

Dan, I think you need to give inverted spark another look. It essentially acts as a double hit with your attacks as you dash through the target and they return really quickly. I had a run where I was chunking Cerberus/Chronos with inverted spark returns. Changes timing of dashes but it’s really fun.

The only problem with old Eos hammer is that it often shortens your range, because you'll yank the shots back before they travel as far as they were meant to. I think the only change it needs is either a delay on how long shots need to be out before they can recall or adding momentum to them where they continue forward a bit before returning, so they can reach further more consistently before getting yoinked back and not impact your range

I gotta be honest born gain is too strong, like i wouldn't mind this being a duo but as it is this has the highest ceiling of all the boons in the game by a wide margin, including legendaries or duos or single encounter boons; like compare this with lucid gain or ionic gain both of them have really high floors and can support a lot of builds but due to the nature of omega cast builds never achieving this ceiling or ionic gain being a bit tacky to use (and having a hard limit) they aren't even in the same dimension as born gain. I wonder if it's the torch omega attacks that are broken instead because this is very hard to achieve otherwise, but imagine blood lines+torch omega attack with phase shift like that's an invincible build and without much, or rather without the appropriate level of effort, in comparison to hades 1. I am of the opinion that the baseline difficulty of hades 1 and 2 are pretty much equal, but it does feel that both the ease of reaching "broke-ness(? Idk)" and the height of being broken is way higher in hades 2. And I'm just looking at pre-urn build here. Edit: to compare pre-urn, bloodline adds about 150 damage without any luck or rng to all omega attacks, and if you recall pre-nerf golden rule this would equate to having that with 3000 gold. Typically omega attacks aren't that fast to actually make any good use of this tidbit *but* if you actually have torch omegas then you can actually use it effectively but then the only magic boon capable of sustaining it is born gain. Old golden rule (which was considered broken enough that SGG nerfed it) was a duo and it required you to hoard gold, and this is just 2 boons from the same god and 1 weapon.

imo Born Gain is already well-balanced in its current state and deserves a spot in the high-tier category. (by "well-balanced," I mean it’s not game-breaking like the earliest version of Born Gain or the pre-Patch 6 Heartthrob) It's powerful and easy to use, making it a reliable choice for most players-at least until you dive deeper into how Magick works and realize that Lucid Gain is actually top-tier! That said, Born Gain does have its limitations. For instance, it doesn't work with certain hammers that drain Magick while attacking (excluding Omega moves), such as Mirrored Thrasher or Executioner’s Chop. Also, some Magick-heavy builds, like the Blood Line build or setups heavily reliant on Omega moves with Exceptional Talent or Weed Killer, are almost entirely dependent on it. Since Hera is the last god you encounter, requiring the completion of a specific Underworld storyline, Born Gain feels like a fitting reward for progressing that far.

@@theformation3781 Prime can disrupt the game's flow if you're not careful, particularly during a run with Vow of Hubris and Prime boons or upgrades, in which Lucid Gain comes in the better place. Its only limitation is the need to wait for Cast to detonate, which isn’t a problem if you’re using builds like Charon, Geyser Spout, or Local Climate. While Lucid Gain may not be as flexible as Born Gain, the choice between Magick boons comes down to personal preference or how you plan your build. Depending on the situation, Warmth, Glamour, or even Fixed may all be better options. The Blood Line/Mel Torch setup, while OP in lower Fear runs, is more of a meme build. It tends to be unreliable in higher Fear runs, particularly when paired with Vow of Frenzy/Pain/Hordes/Fangs, where locking into the Omega Attack Torch animation isn't ideal for evading attacks. Also, Hades's Cinerary Circle is only available on the Underworld route, so it can't be used for cheese strategies in the surface run. RNG manipulation doesn’t seem to be an issue here. The game allows players to choose their preferred god through keepsakes, and most players plan their build in advance. They typically prioritize selecting the essential boon first, which in this case is Born Gain, as it's ideal for a Magick-heavy run using Mel Torch's Omega Attack. It's pretty much straightforward.
