I really liked your video. In college, I wrote down every sentence word for word from the textbook. I never finished reading the book chapter and learned anything. It makes me sad thinking about my ineffective ways of studying. I hope to keep learning and get better.

I hate PPTs; that's 95% of the material and how it's presented, and some professors put up almost 100 slides for a single lecture if you're unlucky. They're better than reading the textbook, though... You can also use OneNote to write on the PDF (free with Microsoft Office); just print the PDF or PPT to OneNote. The downside is that you can't edit the text once you print it since it converts it into a picture; it's just for adding additional notes and keeping everything in 1 spot.

It's really late so idk if you'll answer this but I wanted to know if writing notes are the only way we can like have access to what we were taught? What if I can't write fast enough or something? Or I miss something important?

So my problem with notes is that: while in class if i take "good notes" like actually good, i feel like the professor is moving too fast and by the time i have finished my notes for an exercise or a topic and look up at the prof/board, we have already moved on to the next thing or two things forward. In this situation when i go back home to study, its more difficult to understand the basics of the topic but easier to then understand the tricker parts. However if i don't take "good notes" when i come back home to study it's easier to understand the surface, the thin layer, the basics perfectly and when i dive to the deep, finding my self losing a lot of time to make home-notes and understanding the tricker parts! So my question is which is better take better notes in class or paying more attention in class and do note later? (i hope you understand and you can help, i appreciate your videos, you're great P.S.excuse my horrible english, i'm not a native!)

My problem is for example in social studies the teacher gives us smth about countries and just causally changes the slide after 5 secs and then asks a student about something we took last week. And same thing for math i don't usually know how to do the equations by my self so i have to wait for the teacher to finish writing it..so any tips? Imma start school tmr on Monday so hope i don't get grades to the inner core this semester 💀✨

Scott H Young came up with "the bonding" method as you call it so stop being so proud and don't claim what you don't own(I really don't what to sound rude or offensive but it is the truth)
@hafu5 жыл бұрын
Hey! I've never heard of Scott before but I just searched him up and it seems like has a lot of knowledge on memorization! I definitely don't try to claim credit for things I didn't invent so in this case it was just my ignorance of the research out there on this topic. I was purely just speaking from my personal experience and strategies I've used in the past. Thanks for letting me know! I'll definitely have to read up on Scott Young.
