With *Nagi* (vocals) and *Junna* (drums) in their line-up, HÁGANE has become another Japanese all-female Metal *super-group* - besides LOVEBITES, Nemophila and Hanabie. Incredible. And they *S M I L E* so happy and fulfilled! 😃 The music from these happy smiling all-female Japanese Metal bands make me so *f~~~ing happy* ! 😃 🤘 DE/GER

My goodness, Junna going in machine gun mode on the the double base. Nagi has a brilliant voice and Sayaka and Sakura on guitars are just incredible. You should check out 'Life goes on' by them...Junna goes mental at the end of the song, it's phenomenal. This band are going places.

Hagane is phoneticized as "Hah - gah - neh." Three syllables. Hagane (鋼) means "steel" in Japanese. But pronouncing issues aside, Junna's drumming, both her sound and style are unmistakable. I am glad Junna has found a home. If this group adds another incredible guitarist or keyboard player, they would give Lovebites a real run for their money.

Yes, western spelling of Japanese names shall be pronounced carefully, syllable by syllable. So, if it says ie, like in Hanabie, then it shall be pronounced ee-eh. Same for Hagane, it is ha-ga-ne. Japanese also do not have a strong melody in their pronunciation, it is quite flat.

English speaking people often have huge problems with pronunciation of foreign names. I would say for three reasons. 1. They do very often not learn or speak other languages. 2. English has weird pronunciation of vowels, totally different to the rest of the world. e -> i. a -> ö. i -> aj. 3. English tends to combine letters to other sounds. (e.g. D in this video could not pronounce Hagane. I think he said Hagejn. And that's the English pronunciation. But it is not an English word. It shall not be converted thus. It shall be said as it is written. ha-ga-ne.)

Be careful, you want to respect the group so don't forget the bassist...

Sayaka is 100% professional: she lays back a bit in terms of the complexity of her parts not because she can't shred it up (she can...), but because she understands exactly what's needed for the songs...and more importantly what's NOT needed. There's already a LOT going in with the guitar and drum parts, even when Nagi's not belting out those incredible vocals. Sayaka knows how to keep the mix clean and perfectly reinforced from the bottom up. The kind of bass player every musician wants in their band...

@@DavidKAnderson There are several Japanese bands where the bass player is more visible, e.g. BAND-MAID, new Nemophila and new Lovebites. Personally I think this is good for two reasons. Some cool bass licks are always nice and it makes it more fun for the bassist, making all band members part of the image. Then, of course bass and drums are the base for the music, but there is not a conflict with taking/given some place.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 Sure, I agree...but it depends entirely on the particular song, and this iteration of Hagane, at least from what's on the new EP, looks to put out tracks with a LOT going on in the mix. I'd like to see the writing and arrangements leave a bit more room for Sayaka to shred it up a little, but I see why she elected not to on those songs.

@@DavidKAnderson The reason I wrote it was only a thought. It is very common that the bassist are forgotten (and also drummers sometimes). And I have actually seen bassist leaving bands because they have no fun. And then I have been very positively surprised when I see Japanese bands involving the bassist more. Some Japanese bands are like a group of friends where everyone is welcome and also pushed to add to the band, both when writing the songs and when performing. I like that.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 That's a good call, imo. Bassists usually fly pretty far under the radar, especially when they're in a situation that doesn't often call for flashy playing. Musicians notice them...but I often wonder who else does. I love that Sayaka is contributing to these songs (she wrote the lyrics to "Hero Time".

Tip: always pronounce every syllable and letter in romaji (western letters) rendering of Japanese. In this case, it's "hah-gah-neh."

And when in doubt, cut off the syllable on a vowel sound rather than blending into the following consonant.

Junna has found musicians that match her skills and style. She can't outrun Sakura and Sayaka. Her previous band was just a mismatch, she was just too much for them. Hagane has the wining combination with the right promotion.

Junna has finally realised she needs to be a team player. In TRIDENT she wasn't. It's not that they weren't up to her level. She's thankfully grown up.

Definitely another rising band in this scene. I saw them live for the first time a few weeks ago up here in Sapporo, and it was a _great_ set. They completely held their own on a bill that also included Ark Royal, who are monstrous live. Singer Akane, who's just a bit subdued in videos (and who seems a bit shy in general) is _intense_ live. She leaves most of the stage banter to guitarist Kaori and drummer Shono, but her vocal delivery is phenomenal, and her intense facial expressions just add to it.

Tried a fourth time, removing some decoration. It disappeared anyhow. And it is disappearing immediately so it is not any person not liking it that removes it. For some reason the text breaks some rule I assume. Some rule I have no knowledge about.

@@rolandkarlsson7072 Hi Roland! Firstly, KZbin generally has a hard time, currently, with displaying/running all of its features. I personally experience that with the *emojis* . Sometimes they are all there, sometimes the scroll bar is missing. Simply embarassing (i.m.o.) - given that Google is a top global company. Secondly, please try "Sort by..." on the top of the comments (where the number of comments is shown), and sort by "Current ones on the top". That helped *me* weeks ago, when I experienced the same problem as you now here. In my case, it helped. All my "disappeared" / "deleted" comments were still there the whole time, only *invisible to me* . Dont know why. And I cannot fucking care. 😉

can you Reaction to Referee's Cheating in the World Cup Qualifying Match Between Indonesia vs Bahrain In the World Cup qualifying match between Indonesia and Bahrain, there was a controversial incident where the referee allegedly committed cheating. One of the key points of contention was that the match time had already expired, but the game was not stopped by the referee. This raised suspicions of manipulation or unfair play.

With all due respect, why do so many Americans (yes, I’m one) still hold this sense of entitlement that the rest of the world needs to come meet us on our terms (I.e. speak English) because we can’t be bothered to learn their languages? We’re a freaking embarrassment as compared to a lot of countries where people commonly speak 2, 3, 4 languages. Stop defaulting to wanting others to accommodate you and put out some effort to meet them on their terms for a change.

Och would be many if they would pronounce the name correctly, not all names are emphasized like in English. Especially not those from South-East Asia.

It’s not actually live audio despite the video being advertised as live. Still a great song, but I hate the way so many Japanese bands are being presented in this misleading fake way with “official live” videos that have had the live audio replaced with the studio version
