I can't get enough of this piece right now. The opening theme is just hauntingly beautiful.

Their intonation is just the start. It goes beyond that, where their expressions and dynamics allow for the shift of focus from instrument to instrument. Top of the world group, I agree.

The exposition passage where the 1st violin and 2nd violin trade off the theme literally sounds like one violin playing it it's beautiful they really nailed it.

YES! At first I was a bit confused because I saw the first violin going on the low parts but heard the high parts and I found out it was two different violins. That's so impressive.

Almost hypnotic sometimes, with a haunting charm, the harmony sort of laments crossed with some frenzy violin here and there... agree with everything said. Not fond of string quartets, for they can be a bit boring if lacking the piano. But in this case, this is a good one. And the Hagan Quartet performs it in a so concentrated manner that the whole is remarkable. There may be other interpreters as good as these ones, but these are good enough for my kind.

@PhillipPark90 Ravel wrote for the quartet again in combination with harp (soloist), flute, and clarinet called "Introduction et Allegro." It emphasizes the harp's virtuosity rather than the quartet, but if you were craving more of this sound, you could took to that piece.
