Good video, I cut my leader about foot longer and when I wrap down my hook 7 times then I continue to wrap back up the hook until I get to the back of the eye, then its a double snell with no slip 👍🏼 PDC...

Again, a great video. A lot of people have their favorite knots, I like the Uni-knot and I also use Doc Lang's snell which was your 4th knot. I can tie the uni-knot in the boat with my eyes closed.

And I thought I was the only person to use the Trilene knot. Learned it from the back of the box on some new line around 30 years ago. Great knot that doesn't slip!

Thanks Hagen, it's easy to look up tying knots, but you provided the info on what knot works for which situation. And you are 100 percent correct on the direction of the line on a snell application. I tied it the wrong way for years as I was thinking it would be more protective of the spot that runs through the eye from the teeth on various fish. It took awhile to figure out why my hookup ratio was consistently worse than using a clinch knot. Oh well, that's kinda what fishing is all about- making Oneida after another and proving which works the best.

Love that new snell not. The other was causing my OCD to go nuts thinking it's gonna fail because of how it can back up and get loose when it sits with no tension. This is the best. Now you guys go fishing. Me and my daughter need more fishing videos from our favorite fishermen!

Hello, fairly new to your channel really enjoy them, Other day I seen a diff snell knot that when you run the line thru the eye pull enough to fold line back up to the top of hook forming a loop below the bend of the hook, then twist the tag end around shank and lines toward the bottom and run it thru the loop then pull tight Looks pretty easy and strong Just thought I’d share Anyways enjoy your videos

I noticed a curiously shaped scar on the knuckle of your left index finger. Looks like the same kind of scar that I have, but on my right hand.
