Hagstrom 8 string bass. How does it sound?

Should buy some Deoxit and use it to clean out those switches and pots. They're not noisy because they're old or broken. They're noisy because their wipers and contacts are dirty. If you don't want to buy that, WD-40 works too. Just lightly spray it into the pots and switches, run the controls on and off until the noise goes away, and Bob's your Auntie.

Very unique tone. If you haven't heard of the band Kings X, check them out. The bassist, dUg Pinnick, plays the Schecter dUg Pinnick DP-12 12-string Bass Guitar. He's one of my all time favorites. Happy Holidays and rock on! 🤘😊👍

Interesting instrument, is fretting weird having the two strings? Warwick do one too if you don't mind the sex toy upper horn style.

In general it feels just like playing a normal bass. You have to be just a little bit more careful to press both strings but that's about it.

I'm afraid I don't remember the gauges. The strings are Elixirs. I bought bass strings for the bass strings and I believe I got a baritone set for the thin strings. It was a while ago though, so I'm not sure.
