new subbie! i absolutely adore you! i love how detailed and honest your reviews and your personality tops off your content! 💚 i’m back to doing wash n gos , i definitely prefer cream over gels. i loooooooove miche but i haven’t tried the butter for my wash n go plus i have the melanin cream on the way so i can’t wait to test them out. both cream/butter gave you so much volume and stretch which is always a win. p.s. i love that your content revolves around black owned business even the small ones! thats literally what my stash is dedicated to so it’s even more pleasing to see someone review the brands that don’t get enough recognition

Melanin is a "styling cream" which means it's formulated for hold. Why would you use a gel on top of that?? Maybe that is what made it feel crunchy.

I actually like crunchy hair. Melanin does not have enough hold for me for a wash n go. So that's why I used a gel. I like my results.

Thank you for this review. I have already used the Melanin product and am waiting for the Miche to be delivered. New subbie... Results are great! Do you refresh your curls in the morning with water or with product like the Mielle Curl Refreshing spray or the Mane Choice Restorative sprays?

Awww thank you! You are going to love the Miche Beauty!!! And I don't refresh my curls in the morning. The only time I add anything is towards the end of the week when it is time to put it in a puff. I usually add a milk like the Camille Rose Curl Love Milk. Do you use either of those sprays to refresh your curls? If so, how do you like them?

@@NJEberhart l have a TWA so using water to refresh my curls gives me major shrinkage. In the am my curls are so packed down that I need a liquid to revive them. By using these sprays, my curls are moisturized enough to pop without shrinking. I just fluff with my fingers and go. It also gives me sheen and a smell good boost. Not many UTUBERS talk about refreshing sprays.

Can you or anybody explain to me why er’bdy use gel in their hair? My hair is naturally curly and thick I grease my scalp/hair followed by cream and my curls pop even more 🤷🏾‍♀️ brush out and go..I’ve neva used gel in my hair like that 🤷🏾‍♀️. Daily mist my hair run hands/brush and go.

So I think it depends on the texture of your hair. My kinky hair gets really frizzy if I do not use a gel for my wash n go. The gel helps to control my curls and keep them in place.

Your wash n go came out so nice using both. Miche beauty said that the twisting butter wasn't meant for a wash n go.

Thanks boo! Yes I noticed that it just says it’s for twist outs unlike melanin which says it is for twist out and wash n go’s. I just was curious to see if it would work out and if it would add a little extra moisture to my hair 😄.

Hey Hannah! I def think you can use the Miche Leave in and the Melanin Cream. I use the Miche leave in all the time with other brands and it always pairs well!
