Lower tier is definitely more fun. Vehicles cost less, you respawn more, and no guided missiles. High tier is a sweat-fest which is why I don't plan on returning to WT

As a fairly new player, I absolutely love the M16 as well as the M13 before it. I’ve never tried killing ground targets with them other than open vehicles, but they are by far my favorite out of the SPAAs I’ve played. I just recently got the Wirlydoo a few days ago but I don’t have the PzGr. 40 yet. I absolutely hated the 3.7cm FlaK truck, though. I could never hit a plane unless it came head-on, but then it killed me in return. The only plane I killed not head-on was a friendly who was chasing the enemy I was trying to get. (I’m sorry... ;-;)

Its because he has a high level crew and no armor. No armor can be really beneficial at low tiers. Since all his crew are max level it could potentially take several shots (just shy of a direct hit) to even kill his crew.

I’ve been having experiences like that recently. I started to think I was wearing down the armor but I’m not sure anymore. I get hit once My tanks disabled but 2/4 people I fight are all red...yet I throw off random shots without aiming and I’m penetrating somehow. It’s either some crazy math or the force but whatever it is it’s ridiculous.

Fifty cals aren't all the same. The ground version is the M2HB, which has a 45 inch barrel. The aircraft version is the .50 AN/M2, which has a 36 inch barrel. The longer barrel yields more velocity, and so a bit better armor penetration.

Cool history: the US Army decided not to make an AT rifle like the Soviets, Gernans or any other countries to counter tank threats in the pre WWII era, they have the Browning 50 cals and can penetrate/kill tanks from the side with rapid fire, that's why the US doesn't have their own AT rifle design, the real ranged infantry AT weapon will come in later as the Bazooka.
