Having the most powerful motor, I'm disappointed that pretty much the whole video is about rolling down a trail / descent. You wouldn't have needed a motor for that at all. In a review about a bike with a motor like that the fokus should be on uphill sequences, also filmed in 3rd person / more far away in order to show how steep / fast the motor actually can climb. And I would have liked to hear the noise the motor produces in this case.

Great review as always Rob and thanks for sharing!! We just got a Haibike dealer here and very sadly that will keep me from buying one. It's not the bike that's the problem but these guys do not know anything about them or how to set them up let alone repair them. I wish Haibike would have checked into them before taking them on as a dealer because they are more about just trying to go with a fad and make a ton of money from unsuspecting and unknowledgeable people. I like the bikes but I made a fool out of the sales people with the simplest of questions which is very very sad!!!
@denesk27945 жыл бұрын
There is no "repair". They connect the diagnostic tool and if there is a problem with the display, the battery or the motor, they ship it back. Literally it is simple connectors and screws. The question is if they have parts. The local dealer is unable to get me the pivot kit, spacers, hangers or ANYTHING. For that alone I want to swap brands, though I doubt anyone else here would be better. In other words: if you are technically enabled you can still get the bike. If you can take a bicycle to tiny pieces and put it back together or if you can build one from scratch, then an e-bike like this is not different. Just get it, set it up, and only deal with them if you have a motor/battery/display problem. The rest can be handled by you or any shop. I haven't taken my 30-40+ bikes to a shop ever since a mechanic tried to pry a brake open with a tool instead of using the hand release in 1988 or so.
@bbarker57665 жыл бұрын
@@denesk2794 you don't understand dude. It's not about me being able to work on my bike. Good review, I’ve got one, it’s a great bike, but range is poor. My Yamaha equipped bike will get way more range even using higher settings, which means you are using treacle mode aka eco and low a lot, which then defeats having the extra power. I can get through the battery in highest mode in 10 miles.

As a Flyon owner I say that this is a great bike, Much more powerful then everything else on the market... I kinda like the extra weight. To be fair tho Bosch motor is little more punchy but less powerful, it takes couple extra milliseconds for Flyon to kick in but once it does it's a whole another story... This motor is quite thirsty tho (Edit: Never Buy the 500$ light(skybeamer), everything upwards of 100 $ will do much better job, trust me!)

Unfortunately they are not bringing this model to where I live now so my next bike has to be something else. Sad when you have the money for something but cannot buy it because of some region-nonsense. Seems like they will only bring Yamaha Haibikes and I have no interest in that. BTW, I am thinking of a less powerful motor, more "climb oriented" gearing, but a much lighter bike.
