Haibo Arise Air BFS Reel On-The-Water Test & Impressions

I'm not sure if you're aware but one of the big selling points of the Haibo Arise Air, which I also have on my 3' 9" soft action BFS rod, is that you have 3 more brake setting 'bands' on the reel, if you flip the switch on the bottom and pull off the side cover and push and turn the red brake drum over to one of the other settings, which extends or retracts the drum futher into the magnets, giving you a total of 18 (3 bands times the 6 setting marks on the outside) possible brake increments to fine tune the brake about as much as you could ever want. 😄

Great first impressions video, I may just have to look into that reel at some point. also I sometimes forget my BFS gear is finesse at times and try to power it out like my regular bass gear as well.

I have Old 18 Bouancy with Alderbaron also. How smooth is this reel compare to Alde? I want a lower gear ratio(6.5) Thanks. Btw: ditch that braid and catch more fish:)

Great question. I'd say it's comparable to the Alde in terms of smoothness and low gram capabilities. I do prefer the Alde tho. It seems like it's a more refined reel vs the Arise Air. If budget allows, I would recommend the Alde. Otherwise, the Arise Air is a great reel

It's so smooth. Casts well. Great ergonomics. Really like the reel. Haibo did a great job with it. Can't wait to see you impressions video
