This song is one of their best. Heavy, fast, melodic, beautiful and deep. These lyrics hurt!

Sing it at the top of your lungs and let your feelings burst out. Scream it out, if it makes you feel better. You have a voice and no one has a right to silence you. The final word is said and done The story ends where it began You have to face the emptiness There is no way to talk it out There is no way to work it out You know that's when the rain falls down

@DioandMaiden I really like this song myself. Its just that distortion in the right channel (crackling sound). I hear this on the orginal recording as well, (WAV and FLAC lossless files). Mind you this is on my Sennheiser IE8 which retail at $400.00+ and my Dennon 5000's which are $700.00. The crackling is definitely there. I just don't know if its a mistake in the recording or what. You tend to find these flaws in music with high quality audio equipment. Audiophile FTW! :)

@haiguiz, No I'm not saying that your recording is bad lol. Regardless of the recording I can hear that distortion coming from the right channel even in flac format from the cd. I am assuming they messed up on the recoding when making this song. It even distorts on my Sennheiser IE8s and Dennon 5000's which usually won't distort until you've completely destroyed your ear drums lol. Try to really listen to the song if you can at a reasonable volume and tell me if you can hear it too.

@jleeangelo Yeah sorry, when I uploaded this I didn't know much about proper compression so the files were not saved in the best quality. I'd fix it if there was some way to replace the sound but I don't think there is.

@DioandMaiden I do like the song myself. I just can't get over that distortion on the right channel. I'm guessing you can't hear this? I can hear the same distortion on WAV and FLAC files, which are lossless (no loss in audio qulity). Mind you my Sennheisers retail at $400.00+ while the dennons are $700.00. I love music (audiophile).

Do any of you notice crackling noise on the right channel while listening to this song? I am not sure why it is but its also present in flac recordings. I really like the song but that crackling sound coming from the right channel is unbearable :(. Mind you I am not blasting the music and I am using Dennon AHD 5000's which do not distort at all. It's the recording I guess.

Sometimes all you can do it just accept that some things are over and there isn't anything you can do about it. When it gets to that point, it is better to accept the reality instead of failing to change something that you cannot control.

I know it's been a while since you wrote this comment, but I wanted to give my little contribution to your question: Everytime I hear this incredible song, I can't stop thinking about a quote from Nietzsche: "He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee." And then I can just imagine myself facing into the unnerving and vast emptiness that is that abyss... Just a thought.

The song is about facing hardship and failure. It's a song about recognizing the uncontrollable aspects of life, and accepting them.
