This song heiped me to recover my life.
9 жыл бұрын
I was a terrible person in my past. I was violent and angry, I used people for amusement, and personal gain. All that mattered to me was the one goal I had at the time; and it wasn't a good one. If I never changed, I feel I'd be long dead by now. This song hits home in a way that I don't think many others really have. I never really _abandoned_ the way I was. I felt I could _use_ that part of me, to help me through emergencies where that sort of mindset is absolutely necessary. I feel I've become a good person, and that I've changed. I renounced my old ways, and continually try to improve, but those old impulses are still there. I know this might seem dramatic, but that's how things have been. Imagine, constantly struggling to try and _not_ take what you want, or trying your hardest to _not_ break your disrespectful bosses' nose. If someone cuts you off in line at the store, sure, you _want_ to toss that fuck aside, but you don't. Imagine trying to fight yourself every step of the way, not to do so. It's terrifying, when someone crosses you, and your first thought is about how _fragile_ that person must be. I know this was a bit of a rant, but I felt I needed to say it, and I have to wonder, how many other people are really like this. How many people out there are conflicted to this sort of extreme?

Kelaiah Higgs I've always preferred to _embrace_ it. I get lost in my music, and especially when I do _anything_ competitive. I could be freshly missing a leg, and one of my heaviest, most _powerful_ songs could come on, and I swear, my missing limb wouldn't even register. Anger is one of the _best_ tools you have available, if you can control or curb it.
@psychonautshinobi40499 жыл бұрын
+1omgitskara Anger is a gift not a curse. Being angry while calm/placid/conscious is not evil. Just as Playful Agrressiveness is not bad or evil but aggressive violence is... darkness is an active force light is just static. I think you are speaking through the ass of religion or new age but never mind that if im wrong with that assumption but thats the very reason this world is corrupt with its philosophy that poisoned the inherent will/yang of mankind and why feminism is so dominant nowadays. Anger is in fact the enemy of complacency. Hence complacency is light that has the effect to blind just like the dark ; in thus so light is also evil and in many ways. Like i said being conscious is what matters. Awareness is what really defines good and evil! In fact if we learn to be conscious of every inherent emotion or feeling that will be the moment we discover ourselves and God since that will be the realization that we are not our thoughts but the consciousness behind those thoughts that govern them and so much also a bigger force must be governing consciousness hence God. And like many others im one of those fighting the false god or the elite who are suppressing consciousness thus pretending to be god. And myself if i hadnt used anger i wouldnt have reached very far in seeking out and grasping the truth.

You are not the only one, my friend. I was really evil in the past and now I'm trying to find my own light. It's not always a easy thing, but if you believe in yourself, you'll be free finally. I understand you, and I give you my inconditional love in your fight. Good look!!

I'm with you. I feel like I was a terrible person in my past, and every day I work to make up for the way I used to be. Violent, angry, uncompromising. I still feel that inside of me sometimes, but I can control it better. Think before I act. Step away from a situation that makes me angry. It's not an easy transformation, but it's a very possible one.

The Intro is one of the best intro's to any metal song I have ever heard, beautiful song, you can hear the pain in his voice when he sings, the entire song is energetic, some metal songs die off after the intro, but this song is amazing. You can't put words to how great this song is. I would love to hear this at a concert.

[I: Fighting The Darkness] Awakening - I open up my eyes Befallen me - doomed to this unlife Still I am determined not to break I won't let go and let it seal my fate But I'm falling, deeper Help me please I'm fighting the darkness within me Can you hear my call Feels like I'm frozen under my skin I'm forever lost Here in the shadows in the twilight Life is eternal and my past is forsaken I'm fighting the darkness All that's left is the poison in my veins Deep inside I'm going through a change And I'm falling, deeper Help me please I'm fighting the darkness within me Can you hear my call Feels like I'm frozen under my skin I'm forever lost Here in the shadows in the twilight Life is eternal and my past is forsaken I'm fighting the darkness [II: The Darkness] [Instrumental] [III: Reprise] I'm fighting the darkness within me Can you hear my call Feels like I'm frozen under my skin I'm forever lost Here in the shadows in the twilight Life is eternal and my past is forsaken I'm fighting the darkness

Yeah they’re awesome Stefan Leibing and Henny Wolter are great guitarists it’s sad that Stefan retired from music after he left the band in 2008 he left because he wanted to spend more time with his family and business but family comes first I respect his decision to leave the band since 2016 he plays guitar again for himself Magnus Karlsson is great too but I miss Stefan Henny Tom and Stefan were a great guitar duo same as Magnus Tom and Alex in Primal Fear too

Now this is a REAL "great song". All this stuff I hear on the radio might be popular, and even some of it catchy, but this song can relate to everyone. It's a challenge that all of us have faced and will face, and hearing this in song form almost sounds like a rallying cry for the people that need it. I'll be on the lookout for these guys in the future when I stop by my record stores.
@timbrown66295 жыл бұрын
That is the sign of a great songwriter. This song always reminds me of Kerry Livgren from the band Kansas, in the late 70's Livgren began connecting with people on an emotional/spiritual level that very few other people have. As much as I hate "nu-metal", listen to the hoobastank song "crawling in the dark", and you'll get that same connection... it that immediate sensation where you have to acknowledge that we all could have written these lyrics because it is a Universal experience that all of us have.
