Another great thing about the "someone is always watching" comment is, someone was always watching Kita which resulted in his captaincy.

Shinsuke: *exists as the most wholesome boy ever* The entire Haikyuu fanbase: "I shall protect this precious squishy for the rest of my life, and if he gets hurt I will kill everyone and then myself"

Kita with just a few minutes of screen space gave one of greatest life lessons that are both realistic and aspirational ❤️ became immediate fav of the show

Kita is actually one of the few characters that the mangaka did not expect to turn out so impactful; they were surprised by how vital Kita ended up being to the story. Incredible writing, giving a character this much unique charm and gravity in such a short time 5:17 YES!! If everyone strived to be more like Kita Shinsuke in one way or another, the world would be such a better place x) 8:53 I always enjoy seeing people appreciate those starting order chibi heads, because the mangaka spoke in an interview about how they often end up spending more time and effort on those heads than they probably should xD

9:40 and 11:05... It's not exactly a "budding relationship". They're a couple. (If you guys do remember this, I'm sorry for wasting your time. I can't recall whether you two recognize them or not.) She dumped him before because he was spending more time on volleyball than with her. Kuroo roasted his ass for it before their match. After they lost to Nekoma, she came back to him. She apologized and said something along the line that it was cool seeing him giving his best in volleyball. So now we're seeing she's showing interest in the stuff he likes and be a good listener to him. I like this couple too lol.
