Gonna try and translate this without Google/DeepL: I also went to the cinema over 10 times in Japan. I cried no matter how many times I watched. I heard Sarah’s thoughts and cried again. I just came back from watching the movie and moments that got me were: 1. Hinata not being able to spike and getting frustrated but then Kageyama gives him the high set and his eyes clear up and by then I was crying 2. Tsukki saying Kuroo is too strong for him and he never thought he'd win by himself as Yamaguchi comes in to serve??? Followed by the flashbacks of Tsukiyama?😭 Got me😭 3. Kenma saying he's happy and Hinata shouting while Kuro starts laughing PLEASE 4. Kenma thanking Kuroo and Kuroo cries (I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE😭) 5. Last rally through Kenma' pov was so good I wish I could physically inject it in my veins fr😭😭 6. Any scene with Yaku Morisuke in it because that man is way too underrated for his own good 7. The whole movie tbh was beautiful. I wish it was longer😭

for me, my favorite part is when kenma talks about video game in the flashback, that sentense of "finishing a game is sadder than game over" hit me so hard like i only played volleyball till highschool and that was really one of the best time in my life, just being with friends and play sport tgt. Haikyu is soo beautiful, can't wait to watch it again on the streaming platform.
@gabypedroza94776 ай бұрын
Just watched it yesterday and the part I keep remembering is when Hinata broke free from the cage and said "there is no shortcut". The imagery of the caged bird flying free and going back to its domain hit really hard and I straight up teared up. Its probably the part I remember most, heck that whole Hinata panic before he broke free just felt so relatable. A great movie overall, but definitely wish it was a season

Definitely cried/was teary eyed nearly the entire movie 😭 adding to your list: - Tsukki acknowledging Yamaguchi as someone "who is always a step ahead [of him]", them getting a serve and kill block together, and how the movie showed all their little moments in their friendship and leading into their high five... tears - Kuroo and Kenma's entire childhood backstory LOL, but Nekomata's "then let's lower the net" moment in particular and Kenma narrating how he could see just how much that moment/day meant to Kuroo made me WEEP; their friendship is just so precious And while we're talking about action scenes... can we please talk about that final rally from Kenma's POV??? I think I held my breath the entire sequence it was SO well done, and I am still thinking about it constantly!

The boom jump is sensational. Chapter 314-315 is when it occurs in the manga and there's two notable changes: 1) Hinata misses the first one and barely tips it. Kageyama sets him again on the next point and he slams it like the movie and 2) There's a mini-flashback when Hinata gets the second open set of all of the people he begged to set for him growing up. He's been hitting high sets for far, far longer than his quicks. Overjoyed to see this match finally animated. Ukai's "My student is on the court. My blood is on the court" sent me into a rainstorm of tears.

Despite not playing the sport I feel connection towards the character and made me apprrciate the sport so much now. It would be awesome to meet friends like this but I dont have anyone to watch it with so.. I asked my fiance to watch it with me.. who know nothing about Haikyu except Hinata's name. I told him to just think of it as watching an actual match. I was worried he wouldnt enjoy it.. but he actually cried and said he can relate to Kenma a lot (the flashbacks really helped alot). Ofc i did cry as well but it is when Hinata broke free from the cage. I need to rewatch the movie because i was overwhelmed that i cant remember parts of it. I have to wait to stream it at home 🤧 and hopefully my fiance will catch up soon as he started to watch the series from the start.
