Haikyuu has one of the best written characters I've ever seen in any manga/anime, along with beautiful animation and music (composer is the same from My Hero Academia btw). You gonna love this show, I'm 100% sure about that.

Just remember, furudate sensei likes to start slow on early parts of the seasons and get all time hyped in later eps of the season esp tournaments so uuuuuuuu icant wait to see u get hyped from haikyu

Also it's author Was Volleyball player in High School, and everything depicted in the show is based on reality. Show is grounded in reality, but have that Anime Flashness, and is hell of educational as well
