Honestly, this is the episode that every Tsukki hater in season 1 needs to stick around for. What people don't realize is that Tsukishima's attitude is quite relatable given his past, and how distancing himself from his passions is more of a defense-mechanism than anything

he was in the bench, if i remember correct, in there you have limited number of players you can have down there, in that time karasuno was so big that some players didn't stay down there, if you pay attention he has a karasuno jacket and that thing can't be bought

Tsukki's reasoning is so real I can relate. It prevented me from pursuing any hobby. But I like public speaking. The moment you're on stage and you voice booms and everyone listens. That moment is so exhilarating. I won't make anything out of it. But it's something to work on just fr that moment. Tuskki is so real goddammit.

I saw in a past comment that Tsuki’s brother was technically on the team (that’s why he had the school’s volleyball jacket), but at that time Karasuno had so many players and was at their all time high that he wasn’t able to be a regular or even a benchwarmer. He would practice with the team in hopes of getting on the roster but there were just so many talented players during his era.

I keep watching your reactions, and this comment might be late but the reason why I love tsukki is because we experience the same thing, well in my case it's not about volleyball, but about to arts that my brother and I's passion. I'm really upset with some hq fans who keep saying that his back story or past is not that heavy like that unlike other characters. They (some) keep ranking each character's past and disrespecting other's opinions. Everytime I’m seeing comments like those, I can't help but to feel hurt since I feel like those kind of experience is just easy to bear when it's not. Trust is one the most important, it's hard to give trust, and it's hard to earn. True, his behavior around tobio and shoyo can't be tolerated. In my observation after watching it so so many times, and after reading the manga for how many times as well, it's because he can see little giant in hinata that he thought that it's the person who stole his brother's place, and to tobio, he mentioned that he watched him in a tournament and like tobio’s teammates, he can't tolerate him. There's always a reason for everyone’s behavior, even if it's just an anime character. But gladly, his relationship in first years improved, like throughout the years he spend with them, he's starting to low his guard. I don't wanna spoil anyone so I'll stop here.

It's not so much that Bokuto didn't challenge Tsukki's block--it's more that Bokuto instinctively realized that if he attempted to spike it in Tsukki's direction, his spike would literally be eaten alive--Tsukki would have kill blocked his spike for sure. The fact that Tsukki's block was scary enough to force a top-5 national spiker to attempt to dodge around it is pretty amazing. The moon is rising!!!

4:12 back in high school(in my case in uk from age of 11 to 16) if I stood up for myself against bullies i was the one who got into trouble, how people treated me hurt me so much that i started thinking that they were right, that i should not be alive and i started self harming.
