There are only two true geniuses of early Television comedy; Sid Caesar and Ernie Kovacs.

What about Jack ) Benny, George Burns! Bob Hope ( at one time he was very funny) someone named thatGroucho? I agree that Caesar and Kovacs were probably the most original. But it because others had been doing their since vaudeville They all were pioneers at one time. 5:42

@@ryanellis4474 It was my company that produced it. And as producer I was involver or took the lead of several aspect. - Shout Factory bought up these rights from the rights holders and at them moment seems to have buried it. 😞

@@Scott-Zakarin - How awful! Never sell your master tapes. How do you insulate yourself from outside ownership of your works nowadays? Are you your own man by now (are you an independent creator at this stage in your artistic career)? I’m a TOTAL auteur. I could NEVER imagine working under a company to make my videos. Even if that holds me back in many ways, I at least know I am TOTALLY responsible for my own successes and failures (and I grow slower but sturdier, since I have to wear all the hats).

Sad thing is I didn't think anything he ever did was funny.. I did see him play saxophone with Benny Goodman which was very good
