As a person that identifies as a straight male, I'm baffled why people can't be compassionate to each other. Hailee's whole point at 14:44 about how she didn't choose to be gay and how you wouldn't choose to be something that would make your life harder really resonates with me. I just came out as trans to my mom a couple months ago and she keeps going on about how "Oh, you're probably just confused" or "Oh, you're being influenced by the media you consume", and she keeps treating this as if I'm choosing this for my life when... I'm not. So that made me feel a lot better about myself, thank you guys so much, you're awesome!

GOSH your point about choice, and how NOBODY would choose to be gay because it's dangerous etc. hit me hard. I'm straight, but have enough friends in the LGBTQ+ community to know how hard it is to be who they are. And yes... YES... that point hits it on the head for anyone who thinks it is a choice.

Smh the level of some uneducated people just boggles my mind. And their unwillingness to learn the truth never ceases to baffle me. Oh and I am straight and I hate when my friends In the lgbtq+ get asked about is it a choice question. I can tell people just how dangerous yet in 2023 to be a lesbian, gay, bi, transgendered, queer or non binary. As I have lost several good friends to violence perpetrated by bigots. All over small things or ignorance. Hailee and Kendra I love your content, and I offer up prayer to the GODDESS I worship that the two of you are always safe in your travels.

I figured all this out when I was really young- I like da Ladies, but I'm not one myself. I've had friends, esp folks who 'grew up in the Church' think it's 'a choice', but had to get introspective when I asked them " with all 'they' have to deal with, do you think they chose to be gay?" I like these guys, they help fill in a female component & energy that's useful for having a good balance, are attractive, and Funny. It's like trace minerals, a little bit is both nessisary and sufficient...

I know this may sound overblown, but videos like this are SO important. Smart, level-headed, loving individuals systematically countering stereotypes with compassion and logic. You two already display such a strong and honest relationship (people always learn more through example than through debate), but if just a few people find their eyes opened even a little wider by watching this, it serves not just queer folk, but all good humans by making the world just that much more empathetic and sane. Thank-you for sharing and being so open, because obviously it was a conscious choice to do so. And that choice could possibly help (and protect) so many. May the beauty you two share together continue to grow and nurture each other.

Love this effort to clarify, educate, and (hopefully), tear down walls of misconception. Thank you. Just fyi, I am a straight age-61 male, but love the energy the two of you share. It almost always brings a smile. But, on the general topic of "Are you a lesbian because X- or do you think Y because you're a Lesbian?" let me offer this thought. I am left-handed. I was born left-handed. I had an immediate PREFERENCE to hold items in my left hand. I cannot explain why I am a lefty any more than I can explain why I like Diet Dr. Pepper more than Diet Pepsi. It's a preference. And though I did learn to write with my right-hand when I separated my left shoulder in HS - it NEVER felt comfortable. IMO, being gay, or queer, or bi, or trans is no different than being left-handed. I don't know why I'm a lefty. It makes a number of tasks more difficult, (since most of the world is designed for right-handers). But, if we could convince everyone to think of all of the different sexual variations in the same manner as left-handedness, perhaps there would be a lot less judgment and a low fewer dumb questions.

Hey, ladies, thanks for sharing this video. I've had the pleasure, in my nearly 60 years, of working with and knowing many wonderful people in the LGBTQ+ community. There's been times when I wanted to ask questions but didn't because I felt it was inappropriate or too intrusive. The closest I came was asking a friend if the 'Q' stood for Queer because I always thought that was a slur or insult. He answered that some people identify as queer "but not me" he said "I'm straight up gay!!". My response was "God love ya for that!!". I've held the belief that be who you want to be, as long as you find some peace and happiness. I think that worked for me for when my darling eldest came out when my response to it was "oh . . . okay" lol. Take care, and thanks again

I have a friend who is a lesbian, as well as a professor of gender studies, and she has been patient with any questions I have had (and mine are harder, such as... is it EVER OK to out someone? What if they are publicly saying homophobic things, etc). But, my point is that it's useful for people who don't know lesbians to have these questions answered, even if you have to point out how dumb the questions are. It sucks that it might take a little chip out of yourselves, but I think and hope that it will make life easier and less annoying/hurtful/obnoxious for the next generation.

I can definitely say my life between being a lesbian, bi, gay, with many gender crises make it so difficult for me to explain to people how I actually present. Your opinion on not genderizing clothes make me so happy. I am a trans masc person who uses any pronouns except she/her while still wearing dresses and clothes that make me comfortable. The thought that someone would based my gender based on a piece of clothing makes me feel sick. I've seen people who are born and identify as men and wear dresses and skirts and crop tops and heals, and every single one of those men absolutely look gorgeous. I've seen women wear blazers, trenchcoats and suits and other masculine clothes. I've never second guessed someone's gender based on their clothes. You tell me you're trans fem and you still wear suits? You're still trans fem. Honestly, people who are confident in their own body look ten times hotter to me. I'm dating someone who's genderfluid and they use all pronouns and I adore them, no matter what. I care more about your personality and world view than I do your appearance. Besides that, I've recently found your channel and I love watching your videos!! I love how confident both of you are in your sexuality, you make it easier for me to accept myself and prove my insecurities are wrong. Take care anyone reading this! Eat food, drink water, and get lots of rest. Bye:)

My daughter came out to me at 16...(Almost two years ago). I kinda knew, but when she said "Dad I'm gay" I just couldn't help myself and....well...said "Hi Gay! I'm DAD!!"...Dad jokes for the WIN!!! ;) Love is love, and I'm happy she is who she is. She has admitted a few times to looking at men, and again, I'm happy if she discovers she's bisexual. She's almost 18 (Xmas Eve!!!), her and her twin brother are both amazing human beings and I'm proud to be their dad! As long as they are happy, loved and live a great life...their sexuality is theirs. I'll always be there to be a Dad, protect them, help mend a broken heart and do all I can to make sure they live a great life! Good on ya Ladies, F*ck the haters, the f*ck bois and the ignorant morons. BTW 54, Brisbane, Australia a proud Gay rights supporter!

Thanks for the laughs, pick up lines, and jokes! I'm a straight guy who's been divorced twice. Kendra, finally said the quiet part out loud, " Just because you're a woman, does not mean you're not toxic". This has to be the statement of the century, especially in today's world.

I find it so insane that people ask you these questions on a daily basis even as a straight male. I’m lucky to have parents that have tough me common sense not to say anything like this shit (even though it shouldn’t need to be said 🙄). This video was awesome by the way. And keep doing what you are doing it’s making the world a better place.

The way you fielded these questions with such poise and precision was amazing to watch. I love watching y’all’s videos, I loved the firey side of the responses to these really rude troglodyte questions. As a gender fluid queer person I see similar questions a lot

What I like about this, Kendra, it's obvious you are fed up with these kinds of questions and that is why you are so blunt in your responses in these, and it is appreciated. Love whom you want, enjoy life, and I'm sorry these get asked so much you even felt like doing a video on it.

I admire your patience and understanding in answering these questions. I'm 41 years old now and these are the same, often childisch, questions we would have as very young kids. How little we have grown as a society... But your positive way of countering these, helps me be less upset with it. Thanks for being you! :)

I relate to Hailiee so much at 14:21. I know exactly how she feels because I still feel that way and it really sucks. I don’t have a supportive family do to the fact that they are christian and have strong beliefs. And because I grew up in that household I feel like a mistake and that I failed. I too hate myself and feel like crying because I can’t be “normal” and I can’t change the fact that I am a lesbian. But thanks to both Hailiee and Kendra I feel a little more normal because they are proud of who they are and they are just amazing. They make me feel kinda proud to be me and just love who I love without judgement. I hope to find a woman that I will get married to and have that closeness and comfort like these two women clearly do. I hope to find love like that and these women give me hope.

Yes - b proud to be you!! Know that you are unconditionally and eternally loved by God/Christ (and the universe) precisely as you are. And know that Many many Christians totally celebrate and embrace the LGBTQ+ community……not all, but some (maybe your parents?) are still learning.

First, you two are fantastic. Beyond how you are personally, you take the time to answer questions and that will go a long way to gaining acceptance for everyone. I thank you for your bravery and willingness to interact. Second, that whole thought that if someone is gay then they lust after everyone of the same sex is so ridiculous. If someone took a moment to think about it, that's not how most of us are. Beyond that, I would hope folks are able to look at anyone they are attracted to and maintain their vow to their SO. My wife and I joke that I'd be the worst person in the world at cheating because I would run home to tell her about it. If you dont want to share everything with your SO, why are you together? Kinda makes me sad for folks.

Also, I thought the stereotype was that if someone was extra attractive, then they're gay. I dunno.

The phase question. Just so you know that straights put up with this shite, too, a quick story. I met my wife playing WoW. We moved very quickly and got married. My friends had an intervention for me telling me I was being foolish and blah blah blah. People love to judge others. (Almost no one in that room had a SO.) My phase will be 18 years in a month. Idiots.

Some of these questions really shine a light on how there are quite a few out there that are stuck on "traditional" gender roles & expectations and desperately want to apply those onto others. I'm a married man who is a stay at home father for a disabled child while my wife has a full time job outside the home. When we made the decision to make that change several years ago (instead of having both of us work full time) there were many members of our families that had a LOT to say about it, both to us directly and behind our backs! It was really disappointing and also none of their business. I've also gotten quite a few dirty looks and questions while taking our child to medical appointments and therapies. Like how dare a father spend that amount of time with their child and be that involved with their life and well being. However, when I turn around and take my own elderly parents to their medical appointments the reaction to me is always "he's a good son" and things like that. smh

First of all, me personally, I don't think it matters to anyone else what 2 consenting adults do behind closed doors, whether straight or gay. secondly, it shouldn't matter to anyone else if a person is bi, straight, gay or whatever. It only matters to that individual. To those that are homophobic, that's your problem, it's not anyone else's but your problem. It's very clear that Hailee and Kendra love each other so why can't they do what they want? They don't have to share with us on KZbin, I'm glad that they do, as their videos are very informative or very funny. Hailee and Kendra, keep doing what you want to do and have fun doing it. I love your videos and can't wait to see more of them. 🥰🥰😘😘😍😍😁😁 Edit: A person can find anyone attractive, but that doesn't mean that they are attracted to that person, like Kendra says. I think everyone should be happy that both Hailee and Kendra have found their love, and they are happy with the person they married and anyone who watches their videos can clearly see that Kendra loves Hailee and Hailee loves Kendra. If you can't see that then your eyes are closed, or that you have blinders on and don't want to see it. Because they clearly love each other. Edit-Edit: I think people should watch the movie "Ther Truth About Jane" it deals with a lot of these issues, from family, friends and teachers and what it's like to grow up being gay or lesbian. I would very highly recommend watching this movie, to anyone who is curious about what it's like to be gay or lesbian. It really hits hoe and I think it's a very good movie.

How you 2 connect with each other is all it matters. Each person needs to connect with themselves first and know whats best for you,no matter what other people tell you need to act a certain way. You are born the way you are . Humans judge humans too much, let it be. When you can walk in those shoes, then you may make a comment. Not your BUSINESS to make decisions of other lives, unless its life or death , some times its the order that needs to happen. There is a higher spirit of guidance that has different titles , but in the end,it's each individual choice to believe or not. I support/respect everything you two stand for. Life is never easy, manageable at best. Each individual has there own path to follow, cheer them on and let them lead it to best of there ability. Assist as asked, other wise back away. Help can be a hindrance too, slippery slope. ( Hailee and Kendra, both of you have something special between the two of you. ) Your LOVE bubbles over every time I watch your videos. I hope many life blessings come for the both of you.

Hi so I'm a bit late to this but I think people need to grow up and stop worrying about other people and focus on themselves. I've said this to a few of my friends who have been in a similar position, that people only ask these questions so they can either A) gossip because that have nothing better to do with their lives or B) they are so insecure about themself that they need to be like everyone else and question the "Abnormal" or the "people in the phase" to feel better about themselves. P.S. love your video they make me laugh. Hope you are taking care ❤❤❤

😂 Kendra, when you quoted "you look at women more than me," I lost it! My husband says that all the time, and it's very true. My head turns faster than his, and I am the one elbowing him and quietly saying "hot damn that woman is attractive!" I also have a very masculine energy while looking feminine (I'm 50/50 in clothing style), which my husband is very attracted to as well as myself (Kris 100% 🫣). I identify as pan and poly, while my husband (of 18 years) is straight and monogamous to a fault (which I respect and am loyal to a fault). There are so many other opposites about us, including blood type, but I think that's part of what makes us work. Also, I absolutely love how you both interact with each other, and your energies are so well aligned. It's so perfectly clear how much you utterly adore each other 💗! It's sad those who can't see past their own nose... they're missing out on a huge chunk of the beauty love holds.

I was raised to be open minded towards pretty much everything. I may be straight, but that's just me. The only things that matter are 1. Love. If two people are genuinely in love, good for them. I'm happy for them. 2. Understanding of others ways. Open your mind and understand others. Understanding brings compassion and love.

You both have the right to be who you are and love who you do. And be attractive to who you are. I appreciate that as 2 women you can relate to each other better. I work in mental health, with individuals of all orientations, with families, relationships, sexual issues and just wanted more clarity.
