Step One : Take care of yourself. ...........That's it. Uploading is not something you need to prioritize when you are having a difficult time and becoming frustrated. You were right to take some time to yourself and just allow yourself to not stress too much. Self Care is sooo important.

I just bought that exact camera about a month ago and used it on my trip while I was in the UK, I love it! Just a warning on the issues you were having with your previous camera. The reason it may have been having trouble focusing will have more to do with the lens you were using rather than the camera. Most Canon lenses have a manual and an autofocus option. If you have it on autofocus and you accidentally move the focus on the lens it can damage the lens and make it so it won't autofocus. The focusing on the lens should only be used when it is on the manual focus mode and not on autofocus. So just be very careful with your new lenses as that was most likely what was causing your problem not so much the camera. Another thing that could be causing autofocus issues is if there is something on the lens like a fingerprint or dried up watermarks​. My camera had autofocus issues when there was a smudge on the lens. Just wipe the lens with a microfiber cloth and it should be good to go.

I had a similar situation all last week, trying to film videos for a course I’m creating & at one point my shirt was partially unbuttoned and I didn’t notice until the end of recording a 20 min video, my laptop ran out of space, I thought I hit record and didn’t 😩 I love what you do Hailey - you can’t beat yourself up about it. Priorities exist because not everything can be #1, and they adjust / change throughout your life. You should take time for yourself if you need it! Concentrate on those revisions! I don't mind if you don't post videos for a while, or only sparingly. Sure, I'm always happy when I see your videos pop into my subscription feed (especiall vlogs :D), but I don't mind not getting a video for a while if it means you can work on fixing that stroke of bad luck, and concentrate on your novel! As for the formatted memory card: There are programs that can retrieve data that was previously on the card. I've made the unfortunate mistake of accidentally deleting pictures and videos that i hadn't saved yet, and they can be a real life saver. They don't work perfectly, but I do think it's worth giving it a shot if you feel a little uncomfortable with losing that footage!

It’s totally ok- honestly you can take as much time as you need focusing on revisions, and I bet after you get back it’ll get easier, honestly I would be ok if you aren’t able to put up a video 3 times a week, and put up a video once a week if that takes the stress off of stuff, just whatever works for you. I don’t want all of this to cause you a lot of anxiety- so whatever you need to distress and sort of get back on track (love you hailey!)
