I would LOVEE SLOW BURN romance recs!!! Tik tok is allll smut I feel like which is fun but I love the tension and romance too! Tik tok can have good recs if you know the vibe they are. It recommends a lot of popular books and a lot of smut. A lot of times I see books on tik tok and see it’s reviews on KZbin are terrible and I know not to pick it up 😂 (Spanish love deception)

Having read the thirteenth tale and evelyn hugo, can confirm that it's a good fit, the tone is very different but the themes are similar!

I have also read both and thirteenth tale doesn't have the great love story that Evelyn Hugo does. It is also darker than Evelyn Hugo.

I dont want to disappoint you but the Thirteenth Tale doesnt have much more in common with Evelyn Hugo than the narrative structure. The story itself is more like a Victorian ghost story, I would say. But I loved both nevertheless!

I guess unpopular opinion but the Spanish love deception was terrible. The relationship was super toxic and the female lead was all over the place she just dropped all of her values out of no where and her inner monologues were so long and unnecessary.. really disappointing book. Also, the male leads possessive behavior was SUPER creepy and unnecessary.
