What a touching song and tribute Stevie Nicks gave by quoteing one of the verses of Hallelujah regarding the loss of her friend and bandmate Christine McVie. “I had a best friend but she has come to pass / One I wish I could see now / You always remind me that memories will last / These arms reach out / You were there to protect me like a shield / Long hair, running with me through the field / Everywhere, you’ve been with me all along / Why me? I feel like this song is a testament to friendship & sisterhood. The "two angels in disguise" might be Danielle's homage to her sisters, who appear as mere humans, but are extraordinary examples of love in her life. In the same way, Este proclaims she does not walk her path alone, but they are on "three roads, one light." Even in moments of pain and the heaviest of struggles, like Alana's loss of her best friend, she can always find her sisters there to help lift her, while the memory of her pal passed on gives her wings to fly. These sisters are like an answered prayer to each other as much as they are to their fans---all in the form of one beautifully harmonizing Hallelujah.

One aspect of this video that strikes me as incredibly positive is how three young, strong, beautiful women don’t need to be plastered with make-up and wearing tight-fitting clothes to make a great modern music video. They are perfect role models for young women. Be yourself! Be strong, emotional and speak your mind. THAT is what is beautiful.

I had 2 friends that passed away in high school. (I went to 2 different schools.) Both girls were 16. First was in 2002 (I was 15) and then the second in 2004 (I was 17). Every time Alana sings about her best friend passing, I immediately think of both of my friends. I feel a new connection to Alana after this song, because her best friend's name was Sammi, and that's also how I spell my name, with 2 "m"s and an "I". For some reason this song just hits me harder than anything I've ever listened to so far in my life. "Everywhere you've been with me all along" applies to so many people I've lost, and after everything I've been through this year, I just know that someone up there has been looking out for me. How'd I get this? Hallelujah 💜

The way it was filmed, so subtle! As if it's a whole visual from a dream we are fortunate to see. And how the video makes us feel as if moving chairs and floating women are normal happenings ✨ lol idk

Lovely guitar work reminiscent of Paul Simon. Haim are a class act, swoon.

The moment I first heard it I thought it was a cover of a Paul Simon song.......

Yep, reminds me of the live version of 'For Emily' on S&G's greatest hits, but still excellent in its own way.

I loved this song and video when it came out of course. A few weeks ago I lost my dead uncle who I was named after/always been close with on some level, he got COVID19 while in the hospital for surgery for other health conditions. I pray he found peace and felt loved in his final moments despite having to be isolated and pass alone. This song feels like it’s for him when I listen now. This is a really scary time and things are getting worse. But, art is the only thing that makes sense right now. Anyway, thank you Haim for giving me a soundtrack to the feelings and words I can’t quite pinpoint right now. 🖤

My grandma had a stroke the beginning of February. I got up enough courage to call her for the first time today (about a month after her stroke). She didn’t remember me and just kept saying come visit ok and I love you too ok. My childhood was full of alcoholic parents and mental and physical abuse and her and my grandpa would take us kids every weekend and take us into town to go shopping and out to eat and we would spend EVERY weekend with them. My grandparents are my EVERYTHING and her stroke has been very hard for me to handle I heard this song on this is us right after I called her and I lost it… this song is beautifully heartbreaking and helped me get out a good cry I’ve been holding in and needed to let go❤️ thank you

Hi Ladies, it ain`t often these days, i get to compliment quality musicians, but you forced me to write this, as this song, is as close as you can get, to having a lifetime of longevity, for many people, of varying ages, including me at 63 yrs old. Too many musicians come and go, and don`t leave a mark to remember them by, other than one hit wonders, but you Ladies, are so very very Special, and you play your music, with total commitment, and ya`ll have an abundance of talent, you just don`t see around in a family band, thankyou for coming into my life quite a few years ago, and making me sit up and listen, to all you produce and play so well, especially now, you have got the most wonderful identity, and what you produce, makes me smile, and give out a yeehaw in how you make me feel, some of the vids of ya`ll in the studio, doing some amazing songs, in a way, only Haim can do it. This song reminds me (and this is the biggest compliment i can give you) of Simon and Garfunkel, and you do this, oh so very well, Thankyou Haim. You will always have a part in my heart mind and soul, and from a lyricist to 3 Wonderfully talented Ladies . . . . . . Do it your way . . . . . . .and keep up the most amazing work . . . . . . .You are the Real Deal!!!!!!!!! :)

I listened to this song when it came out and it didn't do that much for me, but now, with these visuals.... I'm blown away. Alana's incredible verse and the harmonies swelling as she walks off the stage and into nothingness is just pure magic.
