Helpful tip: when braiding do the perimeter of her head first and work you way to the middle so if you do have to stop she can pull the hair into a ponytail

A tip for the braids. We who have a chunk of hair usually work going round the head so in the event we can't complete the work, we move around with the braided hair covering the rest. Great job, supermom - if I could be half the mum to my 2 girls that you are to yours, I'd do well. God bless you all

I have read alot of comments from mixed young girls and women with white mothers that do not or did not know how to care for their hair and it becomes damaged. I love how you made an effort to learn so your girls don't have to go through that trauma.

I'm a white mama with an adopted black daughter. KZbin has been instrumental in learning to care for her hair. It is such a blessing! I do a lot of box braids but I've never added hair. My daughter is only 5 and her 4C hair is very thick and stretched it goes to the middle of her back so it takes several days to braid. We start in the back and do gradually smaller puffs on top just like you did.

Put a couple drops of vinegar in their ears after they swim to prevent swimmers ear. I used to get it all the time but I haven't gotten it for years now

Oh I remember those 6, 7 & 8 hours 'hair days'! I never did the tight braids tho. I did have one large braid done professionally, but my hair fought it and was pulling out the next day! Oy! I love Bella's hair in all of those braids with the extensions! So pretty!

Belle’s hair looks great! Future braiding hack, braid the perimeter first (like two or three rows on each side all the way around) that way if you have to stop you can pull it all up in a bun and no one will know that the middle isn’t done.

By now Sarah, I hope that virus is long gone in Jesus name. I get knocked down alot with my health, and boy you surely help me to persevere and get back up. Love your video! Wondering if you could do some videos that show how you discipline through the course of the day. I recently watched "The Chore Disease" and you sent one kid out to play bc the other didn't want to help with unloading the dishwasher. Good idea. Itd be really helpful to see how you manage getting your kids to do things or stop things throughout the day.

Hi love. Hope you feel better soon. Pre parting the hair shaves off about an hour from the total time. Horizontal parts that are sectioned off prior to starting braiding really help since you'd only need to make the vertical part when you're ready to braid.

Tip on braiding: braid three rows in the back then do the left and right side in the front, so if she has to go any where she can just pull her hair in one. When taking them out always start from the back so you can always put them in one whenever she is tired or just want to go out.

Those pool towels on the kitchen table we also have they are amazing. They wash really well and they don’t stink we have had them for almost 2 years. My 6 yrs gets “swollen” ears from swimming also. We stayed using these waxing ear plugs you can find them in the ear section at Walgreens Target Wal mart ect. They are amazing since we started using them no swimmers ear or swollen ears.

Just a suggestion. The ladies at the shop I used to manage used a thread spool organizer to separate and keep the hair tangle free when braiding. They're about $10 at Walmart (9.96).
