I've watched some of your videos on dying hair and I have a tip When you are dying it two or more different colors use aluminum foil to keep it from bleeding into each other and the heat that the aluminum foil keeps on makes your hair color brighter and when you rinse it out the foil stops the color from bleeding into each other

did you bleach your hair enuff? if it was a ginger colour then it will turn out an ugly colour when dyed but i bleached mine to a white blonde and it looked amazing and also nail polish remover will get rid of hair dye stains

you rinse your hair with cold water because it locks in the colour, the hair holds on to it longer because cold water seals the hair follicle (or cuticle i can never remember), it also helps stop colours from bleeding, it basically makes the dye last longer

I recommend manic panic because you dont have to re-bleach your hair a bunch to change the color if you get bored. Even though it does fade after a week, its deep conditioning and doesn't dry out hair. It's also fairly cheep and easy to do touch ups - just buy and extra container of the color and use it with your conditioner. Also no need to add conditioner to the color unless you want a pastel. Hope this helped thought you might want some more opinions.

have you tried it with different dyes? not all of them are as strong as the ones she uses in this video. i do the same thing with a brand called splat , you can get them at most walmarts and they last for quite a while:)

when you use manic panic do you dilute it with conditioner? or do you only use conditioner to make it lighter so you get the color you want? and then when you do different colors how do you keep the colors separate when you rinse? and why do you rinse instead of washing with shampoo and condition and then the next time you wash can you wash or do you have to rinse? If you mix in white conditioner with a bright hair colour it dilutes it to make it more of a pastel shade, so say you were using pink - straight from the tub it would create a bold hot pink whereas mixed with conditioner it would make a more baby pink. The more conditioner you use, the lighter the shade :)

Can I ask what mixing in with the conditioner does? I've played around with my hair and dyes like this for years, and when I'm showering is when I add the color to my conditioner, not before. So I'm wondering if this keeps the color and makes it more vibrant?

The conditioner will also keep your hair healthy while dying. But yes it does dilute the color a bit.

It's semi permanent dyes, so it contains no harsh chemicals that could be harmful to your hair, and the conditioner that you mix with the dyes makes your hair even more hydrated because of the length of time the mix is left on for.

Mixing in conditioner when you're dying it dilutes the colour. It means, for example, instead of going out and buying a pastel pink dye you could buy a vibrant hot pink and dilute it with conditioner. You use less dye that way and it saves a lot of money :D

it lightens the colour so it's more cost efficiant because instead of using a whole bottle of turquoise dye she could use a bit of darker blue dye mixed with conditioner, plus it gives hair a nice condition :)
