how to tone brassy extensions using full shine tape in extensions.

*key points:
•Toning extensions will only work well on human hair extensions.
•Avoid applying hair color or bleach to extensions (they usually start off black and are over-processed to get to the lighter shades-they cannot take any more chemical applications).
•To tone extensions, decide if they are more yellow or orange. If they are yellow, you will use a purple-based shampoo. If they are orange, you will use a blue-based shampoo.
•add shampoo to a bowl of lukewarm water
•wet hair extensions first to avoid splotchy results
•dip the hair in the bowl with shampoo in it until the desired result is achieved- leaving the bond out (this works really fast)
•rinse with cool water until the water runs clear
•hang to dry- no blow-drying after toning
•if the extensions are too violet, you can use a clarifying shampoo on them to remove the tint
•to replace the tape, roll the existing tape off, clean with rubbing alcohol, and apply new tape

Have a question on here I did purchase wella chill because I try to do my own hair highlights I’m a dark brown brunette my hair turned orange, so I went to Sally’s I’m not afraid of trying to fix it, but how do I use the chill toner? I do have ion color brilliance icy white. I use the ion originally to try to take it. Everything out the yellows in the orange I didn’t do much. It turned some of my parts white which is fine but now I want to get the orange out because it didn’t really work with that alone. Any suggestions? I did have previous highlights from a hairdresser but money is tight, so I’m trying to do it on my own.
