How is that a “root” shadow when it covers half the length of the weft?

Hi! I’m in hair school right now and wondering, if you don’t use permanent color, wouldn’t the color wash out of the extensions eventually?

permanent color shouldn’t be used on extensions, if needed you can always touch it up when they come in for move ups
