@@AdirondackRuby Yep! I have met people who were jealous because I have long, goes to my butt, very thick hair and I hate it. It's too hot and I wish it was thin and short like to my shoulders where I can still put it in a ponytail. I only keep it now as a security blanket at this point as I had a horrible haircut when I was a young teen and haven't gotten it cut since. And because my hair grows so slow, it makes me hesitant to cut it.

Same! Started going grey as a kid for some reason. My dad plucked out my first grey when I was like 7 or 8 years old! I’m 25 now and the front of my hair is rapidly greying. I stopped dyeing it last year to just embrace it. 💖

Aside from double checking to make sure you have the right shears, get them in a different color. When I did hair about 30 years ago ( career change after that), I had a small, black asymmetrical handled pair of shears, a standard-size, brushed silver thinning shears and a chromed "chunking" pair. Nevertheless, I still checked to make sure I had the right pair. You also have to double check to make sure you have the correct (and securely attached) guard on your clipper. I even painted the size marker white so it was easily readable. Easy little things to do in avoiding a big, embarrassing mistake that may cause a traumatic experience for the client.

Hello Hair Buddha! I bleach, tone and cut my mom’s hair this weekend and I was very proud of the result. I used your tips and even though my mom bought her bleach at the drugstore, I did buy her a professionnal toner. I was so afraid because her roots were a greyish color but the lengths were already slightly yellow. So I bleached her roots first and after 30min I put the remaining on the lengths. The roots were level 10 and the lengths were level 9. I bought a level 9 toner with 6% Volume and did the roots first wait 5min and add it to the lengths. I did section everything and it turned out so great! Same for the hair cut but even if I took fine sections it finished more short than what we expected 😂 Anyway she love everything and we were watching your tik tok’s videos in the process that was awesome thank you for everything you’re my favorite youtuber 🥰🙆♀️

OMG the story of giving those kids a haircut when you were 12... I'm Dead💀 🤣🤣🤣. I too learned a lesson. At one point I thought this was a viable career for me, I'm actually pretty good at colouring and styling, but In high school I took a cosmetology class and we had to cut a mannequins hair. I just remember mine getting shorter and shorter as I desperately attempted to get it even, only to hear my teacher call out to the class "make sure you don't take them too short, cause the other classes will be practicing on them too" I was like 😬 too late🤣. It was that day that I learned I CAN NOT cut hair!!! 😂😂😂

After years of being a natural gray and brown I had my daughter in law dye my hair a medium brown (ammonia free) back in Oct. Decided not to keep dying it so I'm letting it go back to my more gray than brown color on its own. (Watched to many videos of people destroying their hair) Its going to take awhile since my hair is down to my bottom. Lol. I will be patient though.
@iiipurrrsentkitty46763 жыл бұрын
My hair is natural silver. I dyed it dark brown for years until I got sick of it. I tried everything and anything available to lift out colors, bleached, etc. it was a learning process! In the end, the only way to get the natural grey or silver really is to be patient and let it grow. Was it worth it? HELL YEAH! I get compliments on it all the time. Teenagers want to know where I had it done. I say the salon of life! Having a teenager, going through a divorce, moving is how I got this color!!! It really takes about a year and it looks adorable with a pixie cut. The shorter you cut it, the sooner your hair will be all natural. It’s so healthy w/out all of the dye as well. Colored conditioners are fun too!!!

I wish that I could have watched videos like this when I was a teenager. I died black and it made my already very pale skin look like a zombie. I tried using color oops on it. My roots were orange. The rest of my hair was streaky with orange, black, light black, and a streaky yellow. I almost died and I never done that again. I have had a lot of fails over the years but now I am old enough to not get so upset about my hair. I was lucky enough to be able to transfer to gray during covid. I was thinking about trying the metallic silver that the first girl used. I am so thankful that I couldn't afford it and couldn't go anywhere anyway. I have also learned how to not cut my hair from these videos. I am getting pretty good at cutting it now. I have had several people tell me that they loved my haircut and my color wanting to know where I had it done. I told them that my color was natural and that I had cut it at home. Nobody believes me. My roots on the back and sides are dark brown. My outer layers are several different shakes of silver, gray, and brown, with a few red hairs popping up in several places. They don't believe me when I say that it is natural.
