Hi! I have natural, no color, no bleach dark brown with some gray starting to grow in throughout 😢, 3b/3c curly hair. It's long and all one length. Can anyone give me some ideas as to what to try wit my hair. I'm bored with it and since I'm starting to get gray's which I hate (my family goes gray early unfortunately.) I would greatly appreciate any help, ideas, etc...
@alys4570

@@BanaDoyabad I would go with something semi permanent (so it washes out over time but still covers grey) make sure you go to someone who has lots of experience with natural hair. Maybe put some Auburn in it with a diva cut. Personally it’s one of my favorite looks on natural hair.

Hair Buddha: Did you learn anything from this video? Me: I learned plenty. Don't put glue on your face. Don't put dye on your eyebrows. Don't squeeze talcum powder into your eyes. Don't use a carrier when dyeing your hair. Don't hit yourself with a hairbrush Don't cut the sides of your hair so you look like you have sideburns. Don't use the clippers without a guard on. If you DO decide to do any of these things, upload it to KZbin or TikTok so Hair Buddha can have a good laugh! 😆✌🏻👍🏻

As someone who is very into skincare DO NOT PUT GLUE ON YOUR FACE. There is no reason to use either of those ingredients the way they did. Charcoal doesn't "detoxify" anything. If you want to absorb oil, just use a regular clay mask. The glue drying on your skin is way too harsh and you will give yourself wrinkles or scars with all that ripping and tugging. If you want to reveal newer skin, get a gentle leave-on exfoliant with AHA and BHA.
@CrankyBarista
@CrankyBarista 2 жыл бұрын
Youre right about the glue, but I beg to differ about the charcoal. It does detoxify skin to a degree... thats why they give charcoal to patients overdosing on opiates, benzodiazepines, or alcohol.

I've always been confused by them. If I remember my 6th grade report correctly Shirley temple had rag curls. I tried them once like 10 years ago but had a situation like her where they curled too much. After doing dry curls I'm tempted to try that way and see what happens.
@janetdw
@janetdw Жыл бұрын
My mother had stick straight hair and did her hair in rag curls all the time in her youth (1940s). That’s how Shirley Temple got her ringlets. It’s how they used to do those sausage curls. There is a technique to it however and you have to take the texture of your hair into account.

Unfortunately The Elmers glue and charcoal thing has somehow become a popular mask now, I mean charcoal has beneficial properties for your skin as it draws out dirt and oil however, you can/should always get an actual mask that contains charcoal or if you really want to make it at home use activated charcoal with raw honey it’ll be way more beneficial for your skin, than this hideous invention. As someone who works in skincare this is truly painful for me to watch😖.

When we were children my 2 cousin's and I often went to bed in "rags" usually after our Sunday before school evening bath, we looked like Shirley Temple and in the morning we all had ringlets. It wasn't something we asked for but we enjoyed the interaction and process more I think it was a common thing for little girls in the late seventies early eighties and it was a thing mums liked to do then.

the technique with the textile-stripes is very old ... looks like the viktorian-syle 100 years ago. but I think that this not damage the hair so much like a lot of chemical stuff and to much heat. some people use socks and this curls hold also long without hairspray - nice for event´s and so on if you want a special hairstyle with a lot volume in the hair - one stick or needle is enough to hold all the curly hair up and this can look very pretty if you know how to do this ... some need a little bit practice :)

What the girl did with the tshirt is how ringlets are achieved if she had done it properly. It's actually a really old technique. As in my great grandma did it kind if old. It was done to her hair, she did it to my grandmother by grandmother did it to my moms hair and my mom did it to mine. You leave it in over night. The clcurls are pretty but it is really hard to sleep with the rags in and it hurts your head because they are In quite tight.

I used to color pink markers over yellow markers all the time as a kid bc it was one of my favorite colors. really convenient because its super easy to get that color pink in my hair with one bleach no toner
