Not every hair type require a sulphate free shampoo. People having oily scalp should use a sulphate shampoo as it helps to lather and cleanse well. Plus promoting a clean scalp and hence healthy scalp

Also fill a 1l bottle of water from RO or whatever you use, and use that water for last rinse. So the hard water is rinsed out as well.

RO/filter does not convert hard water to soft water! Bisleri can be used . But filtered water doesn't work because if your city has hard water then water filters won't help

I have hard water and it is wrecking my hair. I kept feeling residue in my scalp no matter how much I rinsed my hair. I tried many shampoos and I just bought some sulfate-free baby shampoo and as a final rinse, I pour distilled water over my head mainly on the scalp. Will see if this works for me. I tried using a filter on my shower head, but the water is so hard I kept having to change it out and it got too expensive for me. Your hair is so beautiful!

Sorry YT won't let me tag people sometimes. I get a large bowl of distilled water and dunk my head in it as a final rinse. Forget the sulfate free shampoos as I have noticed they leave residue on the scalp and my hair felt unclean. It also helps to buy professional shampoos and conditioners...just better quality and ingredients. I use Redken and Paul Mitchell. The distilled water has really helped and my scalp feel cleaner. Leave your head in the water about 3 minutes and then pour it over your head in the end. Also maybe every two weeks use a clarifying shampoo to help deeply clean your scalp. The Redken one is wonderful. In the past I poured the water, but dunking your head for a few mintes makes a difference especially the scalp

Here is something I would like to add to this. Keep your scalp clean with a silicon scalp scrubber, when you shampoo. Second, take your sleep. I had a very busy semester last year and was not getting proper sleep it led to severe hair fall. Only to be recovered in winter break when I got proper sleep.

People with soft water dont need a shampoo in the first place but it depends on how sensitive they're to sebum, and people with hard water need to use a shampoo esp with sulphates otherwise its impossible to get your scalp clean
