Mehendi isnt a black pigment 😢 its a maroon pigment. I too get deep dark brown and maroon colour. You can add indigo for black color❤

I've used reetha shikakia to wash hair post mehendi and even then the color gets stripped off. There's no way out of this except repeat mehendi applications

I understand your perspective, but I have been using mehendi for two years now and haven’t used any chemical hair color. My hair has a lovely tinge of brown that looks lighter in the sun, and it effectively covers my greys. With a good natural hair care routine, my hair is soft, silky, and thick. I completely empathize with your frustration; I’ve been through similar experiences. However, I didn’t give up and kept experimenting until I found what works for me. It completely depends on your scalp and hair condition. Personally, I haven’t experienced any hair fall, and I’ve tried numerous mehendi products from different brands. I’ve never encountered hair fall after using mehendi.
