Liz, I’m a barefoot person and can’t deal with shoes with arch support. I don’t specifically wear zero shoes, but I only wear flats for flip flops that form to my feet or I’m barefoot. Hey Dudes are the most comfortable pair of ‘real shoes’ I’ve ever owned. They don’t hurt my arch, are super flexible and you can feel the ground in a similar way to a minimalist shoe because of the flexible, squishy sole. You should give them a try. I loved mine so much I needed some I could wear in the winter so I bought a ‘boot’ version. I love them so much!

Use waxed thread of a contrast or matching color with a speedy stitcher, using a buck stitch, and it’s so much easier & cute!

Here in West Central Lower Michigan we had W.T. Grants. They were around for a few years until K-Mart moved up from Southern Lower Michigan. Not sure, but I think K-Mart bought out W.T. Grants if I remember correctly. But that's been like 45 years ago. Some sectors of my memory module is corrupted so some things are lost to time.

What contact cement did you use?

We used a in house product called van grip. Masters or Barge is a similar product.

Each shoe is just a bit different. You have to use the shoe each time to create the best looking piece to fill the gap.
