Great informative video buddy, its so important cause if you have never had a system and new to all this then some (not all) salons sometimes tell you that a mono filament system is best option for you, which is crap! They are hot and uncomfortable, and more importantly CHEAP for the salons to buy in, yet charge you hundreds for it, in my opinion having used all of them, mono filament system is a 3/10. French lace 6/10. Swiss lace 8/10. And NG thin skin 10/10. I've also tried the poly 0.5ml system, but because it's just that little thicker, the hairline isn't quite as realistic as the 0.3ml.

Totally agreed!!

Thanks Curtis for helping BALD guys. I have tried TL 700 , it was amazing with hairline, but the only concern I have is the heat, I felt overheated scalp underneath the system and nothing was like that with super Swiss lace. Any suggestions help Thanks again.

Shawki Abed sure. Did you bond the whole unit. I tried that and I agree. It was warmer than normal. But that faded away after about 3-4 days. Now with tape on the back and sides it’s totally cool and normal

Sh*t! I was hoping that if I do this I could do an exposed hairline with french lace so it would last for a while and breath. I sweat alot in the summer and I think it would be hot as hell in a poly system. Good video Curtis.
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын
Hey!! You can and many do. Its just not the best tool for the job. See what I mean
@RuleofFive4 жыл бұрын
@@HairExperience Thanks for answering back. I guess I'll have to look around for a picture of a man wearing an exposed hair line with french lace and see what it looks like. Your hairline looks so real and you have temple points. I would never guess you were wearing a hair piece. I just sweat so much that I couldn't handle the poly on my scalp. I am impressed with the amount of time these systems can last. I really thought it was one to two months tops. As you said its how you treat it. Thanks Curtis.
@kevincarr96805 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ve actually just bought one from Korea that is a French lace; but has a polymer edge all around it. It reminds me of the Hybrid one that you sell but looks thicker than the 0.03 skin thickness of your product. I have no idea if that means the product can be used for exposed and/or unexposed hairlines so I’m a little bit stumped. It’s my first time trying a system.
@rgallegos276 жыл бұрын
Hello Curtis .. I got my system in last week from Toplace and I was blown away.. after waiting 2-1/2 months for this unit, it came in a FedEx envelope smashed up after paying $20.00 for shipping and absolutely no information, no instructions, no business card or a thank you for your purchase.. so I emailed John on Wednesday of last week and he just wrote back to me yesterday (Saturday)and said that I need to look you up on KZbin so I can get instructions on how to use the system.... I haven’t installed this yet so I’m not sure of the quality I hope it’s better than their service!! You recommend them and that’s why I bought from them so can you please give me some type of instructions on how to get started please.. thank you
@HairExperience6 жыл бұрын
Ray Gallegos hey. I understand. But, there really isn’t a way to include instructions in the bag. There is just to much info. I get them them the same exact way. That’s the only way he can keep costs so low.
@rgallegos276 жыл бұрын
HairExperience it’s ok Curtis lame answer! I’ll figure it out..
@vanhala76 жыл бұрын
Seriously, instructions?!?!? Curtis has an ebook available, an instructional video, and this channel. What more do you need to know, the name of the person who made your piece? We all get the same service you got, this isn't like buying a chair from Ikea.
@rgallegos276 жыл бұрын
DanThe Guy oh so now I need to buy an ebook? Curtis said he doesn’t get paid from Toplace but it sounds like he does to me!!! No thanks... Toplace is fly by night and soon will go away! As I said before I’ll figure it out.....
@vanhala76 жыл бұрын
No, don't buy the ebook if you feel like you don't need it, its only there for people who are the type to need laid out instructions to accomplish things. Just watch the FREE videos that he has posted over the last year. You'll see, its not rocket science. If you did go back and watch his videos, you would have heard that he gets a small kickback from toplace by way of hair systems, not cash. In total, that saves him around $1000 per year, if that. I don't really see that as "fair" for the amount of time these videos take to do. I wish you luck in your hair system endeavors. Hopefully you do figure it out and stick with it, its a relatively small community and the more members there are, the more mainstream wearing hair will become. These videos do make it easier but even they can't prevent an occasional problem here and there, nor would an instruction manual.P.S. good luck buying a system for the same price and getting better customer service. If you want special service, join a hair club and have a bunch of people "phony" it up around you and then laugh about the money they made charging you $1500+ for a $100 unit.

Hi Curtis! I hope you and you family are doing well there! Curiosity.... have you use a 0.08 poly system? Do you think it might be too thick and to warm? Thank you!
@HairExperience4 жыл бұрын
Hey!! We are good, thank goodness!! Ive never had one or sold that product. It would be warm for sure. But for a woman it would be a normal thickness because of the weight of the hair so the base would need to be thicker to hold it
@TOBYWASLOST06 жыл бұрын
I have just purchased a skin system S1 from Lord Hair and they are saying using glue not tape. I now watch your video and you say use tape cos of sweat. Everything is so confusing!! If I use tape round the edges and a bit in the middle doesnt it wobble and move around?
@rcjr26335 жыл бұрын
1st.. Should've went with Curtis..He checks every unit.. 2. Depends where you live and what you do. I'm in a Hot area. Trial and error. Both work. I'd suggest Ghost bond Platinum. Regular Ghost bond tends to run for me. With a good lightweight unit, you can put tape on top and sides, and glue the front and you'll be fine.. Just try both. Not gonna hurt your unit. However, either will start running if you leave on too long without cleaning.. There's no way you'll get the natural look with a unit anywhere else. Curtis checks every hairline and will make adjustments before it's shipped. Been doing this a while. Just go with Curtis if you want a natural looking unit..!
@thomashuft33555 жыл бұрын
Hey Curtis, great video. Helped me so much. Do you wear a stock system or custom made? I just asked myself, if you have to destroy the natural hairline when you have to cut a stock system

Green Trees I live in Florida as well and I’m concerned that I won’t get a good bond. I definitely would not something to occur while I’m at the gym

Salons seems to love monofilaments. They give a fancy name and tell you Swiss or french lace are terrible and old technology. My scalp was consistently itchy with the mono and it felt like a hard piece of plastic on my head. Worst thing was, it didn't even take the shape of my scalp and the hair was dyed. It has a red shine.... Then I used the coupon ordered Swiss lace and it never looked back!
