Just wanted to say a quick thank you for a great tutorial. I have naturally curly long hair, and have done wet set after shampoo for over 50 years. Your info on rolling was very good, and I especially appreciate the detail of wrapping it! It used to wrap my hair back in the day on nights I did not roll it, but when I tried to wrap it recently I couldn’t recall exactly how I used to do it. But you brought back the technique perfectly in my mind. Thank you so much for a great video! Can’t wait to watch more of your videos! Thank you for watching! I tried going gray once before I actually just did it. I wasn't ready the first time because I felt people would think I was older than I was, we associate gray with old. When I came out from hair color it wasn't trending like now. But I made the decision to wear it with confidence, boldness and like no other, it helped I got a funky hair cut. I am watching this with rollers in my hair tonight. I haven't rolled my own hair in years. My biggest problem is that my hair is slick. It wants to come undone. I'm white so my hair is very slippery when wet. I used to be a cosmetologist and rolling someone else's hair is a lot easier. I have a hard time doing my own. I used some setting lotion to hold the curl. My natural hair is curly, but rollers change the direction and loosen the curl. I'm actually learning a lot about old school hair techniques from watching videos by African American KZbiners. White women used to do this a lot, but it lost favor for awhile. Now it's coming back. Funny how all that works. You make it look good.
