Hair Update and African Pride Relaxer Review!

Hey all! I know it's been a minute, but here is my latest hair update! I really like the African Pride relaxer and my hair has not reverted and it is still very straight!

a good thick and creamy conditioner that you could use is kinky curly knot today, or shea moisture as a leave-in. You can use these products on relaxed hair everyone uses them

Garnier fructis have a very thick leave in. So thick I can cut it out with water and one bottle gives me 3 bottles of regular consistency leave in! In Canada its only 3$ and sometimes in sale for 2$. So I am saving a lot of money with this! :)

Try making your own leave in and use shea butter and aloe vera juice as your base and you can aid whatever essential oils to it. I would say whip the shea butter and then add your other ingredients.

try using castor oil on your edges, i use it daily and it has worked great for me!! it makes the hair thicker, also i use it on the length of my hair and i have seen great results

Have you tried Cantu Leave In Conditioner? ?Its a huuuge tub and you can find them at Target. I used it on my hair when I was transitioning,but now, after I wash, I apply it yo my hair. I try not to put too much because my hair is thin and its very rich, so rich if i use a whole handfull, it weighs my hair down! Other than that, it smells sooo good and Cantu ha an amamzing hair line. The oil sheen is good as well!

ms shadylane.....try the long term relationship leave in conditioner from herbal essence...they also have a split end mender that works really well!!....hope this helps!!

Have you tried the Shea Moisture 'Moisture retaining conditioner'? You can get it at Target.

Try WEN......it's a little pricy but it's works miracles on hair. U can get it at QVC or WEN.com. It's really thick also.

I noticed someone suggested WEN. At Ross they have a similar product called Lisa Rachel, also Sally's brand of Hair One with Aragon Oil is great as a leave in also. Have you considered adding glycerin to your moisturizers?

I think that is supposed to be the generic version of Nioxin. I havent tried that but i have tried Nioxin which basically works by stimulating your scalp. It worked okay for me, but i wouldnt buy it again. Let us know how that one works out. Girl I am surprised you dont already have a stash of optimum care relaxers for as long as they were free at walgreens. I am trying my best to get rid of all mine to keep me from ending my natural hair journey whenever i get frustrated with it. lol

Do you use a different relaxer each time you touch up? And you may know already know but Ateya here on YT is "the truth" when it comes to relaxed hair routine...products, stretching, wigs all that I think she has a playlist of just hair stuff. You are a busy working mom but it may be helpful.

"your hair looks like a turkey!" hahaha ur hairs beautiful. im mixed with mexican and african american. any suggestions on a nice way to get it smooth and straight? and have it stay like that overnight? im 14 and clueless. my mom has no idea what to do. lol (shes not african)
