We work so similar and it's so refreshing to hear someone say how long they take, so many hairdressers are like 'oh I take 45min for a full head foils' In my opinion that cannot be as much work as what you of I put in x
@hairbykristijennings66483 жыл бұрын
Oh geez.... 45 minutes for a partial! Good hair takes time!
@snorky7763 жыл бұрын
I’m the same way! Takes me a couple hours to foil a full head! With a medium to fine density! Roughly 3/4 sometimes 5 hours to full foil a thick head! I’d rather take my time and get it done right, than rush and mess it up.
@rain37433 жыл бұрын
Detailed foiling takes time. It typically takes me 2.5 hours for a whole head just to get it foiled, If there's no subsections like that. Depends on the density. I don' think 5 hours is bad for that much work. I use Wella's "Service" after pulling foils as they're ready. I SPRITZ And remove with towel then put that product on. Even if the bleach isn't shampooed out, it stops the process, as it is acidic, AND, acts as an awesome detangler. I detangle gently with a wet brush. That backcombing comes right out.

I was retired for five years and I’ve done men’s hair for the past 10 years and I’m so excited to dive deep into women’s hair. I’m thrilled! I used to be a Wella colorist but the techniques back in the 90s were not what they are now. Thanks for the vids!! Btw ignore the people who complain about when you talk about money and how much you charge It’s always the people that charge less than complain about people like us that charge more. @rain37433 жыл бұрын
You can assess what the hair can take. Also, Olaplex DOES allow us to push things a bit. Sometimes it has to be overlapped. When I know I might have to I usually add on a Malibu C for blondes or a Crystal Gel to get that buildup out. Which adds more time and $$ to the service but really helps. Sometimes it brightens the existing highlights enough to be toned more evenly without needing to overlap. I think clients who expect that much icyness should realistically prepare to pay $400-$550.

Most definitely without question would snap and fray that hair..probly why you may have such a hard time with the combing out ..rince..and put a cuticle seal...actually why they developed a cuticle seal is because the cuticle is opened and vulnerable to breakage. Otherwise..amazing work.Thank you 🎉

And i know your frustration about the lightning, we are finally changing our lamps in the salon so it Will be brighter and easier to take pictures. We dont have a ringlight or so. I love take picture outside in natural light 😊👌🏻

Did you end up adding some lowlights? Right after you blew dry the hair you showed a close up of her hair and the demension was a level 7.5N. But after adding the curls it looked more smokey/ashy as if lowlights were added. It must have been the lighting.
@hairbykristijennings66484 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was the lighting making it look darker.
