Word. I’ve been going to my Dominican barber in Brooklyn for almost 20 years and I don’t get this kind of service. (Granted, this KZbinr extended it for the length of the video, because he knows that us Bobolones would watch. Incidentally, I feel as though he might know more than he lets on. 😅😉) Nevertheless, I’m loyal to my barber and he quite frankly doesn’t deserve it because he doesn’t do the best job nor does he exactly value me(me menosprecia). Which made me mull over for a while if I should find another barber, but have yet to take the leap of faith. From what I gather, though…lady barbers pay more attention to detail and are meticulous. Or well, since they’re not in the US, they don’t take things for granted - I guess? It could also be the camera…people who aren’t shy tend to gravitate towards it. “Smile! You’re on candid camera.”

Great video, brings back some nostalgia for me and makes me want to go back to that region and visit. I visited Monterrey a couple times, as a teenager, (18), way back in the summer of 1998, since it was the biggest city that was close to the smaller city where I lived, (Saltillo), for about two months. The people were so kind and generous, it made it very difficult to leave.

Did you ever go to the Sierra de arteaga Coahuila and what part of saltillo did you live at I lived at lomas de Lourdes back in 2009
@ggram05513 жыл бұрын
I've heard of sierra de arteaga Coahuila, but I was never there. I'll have to contact my former host family to ask what part of Saltillo, I stayed in,(they live in). To be honest, at the time I was 18, and should've asked more questions, but I was having to much fun going playing basketball with friends of my host family, hanging out with them as well, going to quinces and trying not to go blind watching way to much Telemundo because of how attractive the female TV personalities were My sister was also there when I was there, however her family lived across town in a gated community. I'll have to find out what the names of the areas were and let you know Fun/oddfact. The host family I stayed with, their son, who I became good friends with, is now a doctor. He had to "examine," the man who claims to have the world's largest penis, (also from Saltillo), to ensure what the man was claiming was the truth. When I saw Saltillo mentioned in an online British publication, "The Guardian," it sparked my attention, but I never thought I would read what I read, and that would include my good friend, hahaha.

It's like you come from this country where everyone's pissed off and mad about something it seems and then you come to Mexico and it's like, they don't give a damn about the problems in their lives and in society, they are still going to treat you with the upmost hospitality.. the mexican women are a special breed and I'm happy I get to get my haircut by them, massaged by them, get food on the table from them, etc..
