Haircut 😱 long hair

I had thick, long hair that I would end up sitting on if I didn't pay attention. When I was in college, I'd have to take a public bus around campus. One day, while preparing to get off the bus, I stood up, but quickly realized my hair was stuck somewhere. I realized that the stranger sitting next to me was sitting on my hair. I had to ask a complete stranger to please move over and get off of my hair. I ended up getting my hair cut halfway up my back, and cried while having it done. But I was able to donate a very long, thick chunk of hair to a wig program for cancer patients.😊 Love, blessings and peace to all 🙏

There’s a gal here on KZbin that has hair like that, and she dresses up in the most beautiful costumes… somewhere between fairy and renaissance. Quite breathtaking when she styles her hair to match the outfits. She’s got a delightful character and channel… I just can’t remember the name, lol. Scarlet something or other. 😂☺️

When mine was only halfway down my back, I had joined a long hair “forum” (or bulletin boards, something we called chat groups before there were chat apps like Facebook, Twitter and such.) and there were usually too many chats going on to keep up with!

Ladies, take it from a stylist, Trim your hair every 6-8 weeks, it's called a "dusting". Your hair growth is average 1/2 an inch a month, you only need to trim a fraction of that to keep it healthy. Do it according to the moon phases. When it's rising from 🌙 to full, and you'll get the most length possible. Trimming those dead ends will keep it from breaking off. If you let it go several months in between trims it will never grow, and if it does it won't be healthy. And that leads to having to cut inches off at once instead of just mm. Trust me. My hair is down to the top of my rear, and I've grown it out following my own advice, and my clients use this method as well.

That 1/4 in he took off wasn't close to a cut or even a decent trim. Any hairdresser will tell you to keep the ends trimmed to prevent them from splitting & prevent hair growth.

If the ends are left to split, it will actually start to break off, so cutting off the split ends makes it grow more. She has kept it healthy by cutting it every so often; therefore, it has grown well!

Ik I’m a boy, but trust me. I think one of the single biggest things you can use is topical 5% minoxidil every night (or whenever in the day is best for you as long as it’s at least once a day) on the scalp. It’s been scientifically researched to prolong the anogen growth phase of hair follicles. It’s something you stick with as part of your routine every night for years, but it honestly takes no time to apply. I personally use it alongside finasteride to prevent the onset of baldness, and I also have a lot more thickness as well in my hair. Like new hairs are popping back in, and my hair is returning to how it looked pre-puberty. Which for me means my hair is going from wavy/frizzy to smooth and straight again. But overall for the minoxidil, I would say it is quite honestly the biggest cheat code to growing longer, healthier hair because you will potentially get years extra from a hair follicle before it falls out and recycles itself.

I never once said anything pertaining yo uou being a guy or a girl now I see some of the others who commented just assumed that was female hair & did refer to you as she or her! To be honest I fid think it was female hair! but yet I never mentioned in my comment as to the gender of the head that hair was on! I just wondered how eho ever the hells hair it was I was envious because I have long hair on my female head but once it gets down to my lower back, like right now it starts to get split ends and frizzy looking! But growing my hair has NEVER been a prob! In fact it grows to fast and for me getting older certainly doesn't mean my hair getting thinner! Infact I think it's gotton thicker? Not to be rude to all the people who have long hair, but I honestly thank it's hard to take care of. I had long hair and it was hard to brush, got greasy super fast, and got stuck on chairs and more. I got a pixie cut just yesterday night, I hated it, but also thought I was beautiful. Short hair means it's probably hard to see if it's greasy and easy to easy to brush, plus I don't have to brush my hair because of how short it is.
