I'd love to get my hair as long as yours was. I've been growing it for about five years, but had a major 20cm trim a couple of years back. Even so it's chest length now, and although I love it, it's already a pain in the arse. It takes forever to dry, and it gets knotty so very easily. My hair seems more prone to frizz than yours. I totally respect your decision to get it lopped off, and I'm 100% sure I'll do the same one day, but not today! Anyway, thanks for sharing

9:33 That is almost exactly how I have it. I let it only grow long on top. left and right very short (0,5 mm) and back about 5 mm long. also it amazes me than I am a boy that has almost longer hair than you have now you have cut your hair. edit: letting it only grow on top is an awesome way to have long hair without having huge volume. Since I sport a lot(, intense sports,) That is quite handy.

Your new hair looks excellent! Great volume and bounce, indeed. I really agree with your comment about the clipper-cut parts having a fun tactile thing about them. I had the Zack Morris (from Saved by the Bell) wedge haircut for a few years as a teen and I'd always catch myself unintentionally rubbing my hair against the grain to hear that bristly little sound. I'm really glad you're so thrilled about your haircut, too. I've been pondering going short for the last few months and have real apprehensions about it since I always feel really bummed out about missing my long hair for the first week or so after going short (I think four times in my life, so far). Having continuous air flow on your neck is so nice though.
