Este fue el primer disco que escuche de haircuts for men, y me abrió la puerta a nuevos géneros y estilos que antes ni sabia que existían. El álbum tiene una sonoridad particular, que nunca he llegado a escuchar en otro artista; una mezcla en proporciones perfectas de elegancia, parsimonia, energía y misterio. Eso es por supuesto una apreciación objetiva, pero es que en este genero en mi humilde opinion, eso es lo mas importante, crear una ambientación, en el fondo todas las canciones son patrones (loops) que se van uniendo capa tras capa de sonido, pero en ningún momento los temas se hacen aburridos ni repetitivos, porque se van agregando pequeñas variaciones que encajan de manera perfecta, todo lo contrario, te permite concéntrate en la emoción que te produce la música, también me gusta la dualidad que tiene al poder funcionar como música de fondo, en un contexto de estudio es perfecta, diría que me hace hasta mas productivo jsjsjsj.

Si le gusta este estilo, recomiendo buscar proyectos de Trip Hop como Thievery Corporation o Massive Attack, especificamente de los 90 (lo digo por si no los conoce). También recomendaría los géneros Jungle o Intelligent R&B. Los artistas de Vaporwave suelen utilizar materiales de los 80 y 90 para crear sus pistas, pero Haircuts fue hacia otra dirección. Y tiene sentido, era un género muy popular en los 90. Incluso David Bowie tiene álbumes muy influenciados por ese estilo, como Black Tie White Noise o Earthling.
